We all know how we feel when we're taking care of ourselves. It's amazing how we deny ourselves those simple pleasures sometimes. Maybe it's because we don't think we deserve them, or we think we're too busy to take the time. But self-care is essential to living a productive, happy life. Detoxes can be a great way to give your body a break and reset your system. They can also be a great way to jump-start healthy habits. I like to do a detox every August to help me get back on track after the summer. This year, I decided to do a shorter "nourishing" detox that would be easier to stick with. I'm happy to report that it was successful! I felt more energetic and clearheaded after only a few days. 

If you're thinking of doing a detox, I encourage you to give it a try. Start with something small, like cutting out sugar or caffeine for a few days. See how you feel and go from there. Detoxes can be a great way to nourish your body and mind. I want to remind you that this is my journey and your journey is totally different. And I want you to take what resonates and leave what doesn't.
