Amil Khan has spent his career watching how deliberately planted rumors and fake stories can destabilize communities. He saw it working as a war correspondent for Reuters in Iraq and Afghanistan, and he has seen it in his home country Britain. He is fighting back with a platform called Valent Projects, using the same AI technology used to disinform us, instead to equip us to cope with a deluge of tech-fuelled disinformation. He spoke with FM4's Chris Cummins at ARS Electronica 2025.
