After talking about it forever, after many scheduling conflicts, Food Fight! is finally having a pierogi (and Prosecco) party! Kirk, Lindsey, Kelly Wallace-Barnhill from ‘F*ck You, I’m Smarter,’ and Jackie Brubaker from the ‘That Girl’ podcast are all here to learn how to make pierogi from Kirk’s wife, Ann. (Who in turn learned how on the Internet.) This episode is filled with pierogi-making tips, pierogi facts, pierogi quizzes, lots of pierogi eating, and copious amounts of Prosecco. Kirk’s kids even deign to come down from their rooms to eat pierogi and talk trash about their dad, cause it ain’t a party until some tears are shed.

A whole episode dedicated to crackers?! Hells yeah! This week, Kirk and Lindsey dive deep into crackers; the one food that’s always in your pantry but you’re just not quite sure how it got there. The two debate Wheat Thins vs. Triscuits, cheese crackers vs. peanut butter crackers, does everything taste good on a Ritz, should Goldfish be considered crackers, are keto crackers worth it, and how crackers with raisins in them are straight BS. Then Kirk attempts to swallow six Saltines in one minute without any water. Will he succeed?

Description: We all know that the sole purpose of bar food (aka, “pub grub”) is to get us all to drink more and, frankly, we ain’t mad at that. Well, sometimes Kirk and Lindsey are, depending on what type of bar food the two are shoving down their gullet. The two discuss if pizza, hot dogs, and sandwiches can really be considered bar food, does bar food taste better when you are physically sitting at the bar, are gastro pubs worth it, is it sad to eat alone in a bar, and how ordering an actual meal in a bar is just plain stupid. Then, Kirk and Lindsey play a game where they create their interpretation of “the perfect bar” with the perfect bar food menu. Whose place are you going into first?

What better way to celebrate the 100th episode of Food Fight! than having Lindsey come over to Kirk’s on a Saturday night to eat some steak? (Answer: There is no better way.) So, while gorging on a full steak dinner, the two discuss the best cuts, how much of a crime is medium well, is rare steak just a flex, grilled vs. broiled vs, pan-fried, best/worst toppings, best/worst sides, and the pure joy of going to a steakhouse. Can Kirk and Lindsey last another 100 episodes without killing each other?

With Lindsey on vacation in Costa Rica, the show nabs one of the hardest guests to get in the history of podcasts, with none other than Kirk’s daughter Lily gracing the show with her presence to talk about chicken nuggets. Lily is an absolute nugget expert (just ask her), and she’s here this week to do two things: drop some nugget knowledge and nosh on some nug nugs. The two discuss which sauce is the ONLY sauce you should get with your nuggets, are they better than chickie tendies, where do they rank in the canon of fast food, at what age should you stop eating chicken nuggets, and, most importantly, does Tayler Swift eat chicken nuggets. The two then road trip it to five different fast food joints to determine who has the tastiest nuggets (which is the only way Kirk could convince Lily to actually do the podcast).

Kirk and Lindsey think they know food. But do they really? Are they truly knowledgable about food or are they full of s**t? To figure this out, the two have brought frequent guest and friend of pod (and Lindsey’s co-host on her hilarious podcast, F*ck You, I’m Smarter) Kelly Wallace-Barnhill to compete in the very first Food Fight trivia contest! It’s a no-holds barred, take no prisoners, knock out, drag down fight as the three compete to be named “The Real Food Expert.” Who will win? Listen and find out!

Come on! Who doesn’t like bacon? Not liking bacon is…like…kooky talk. Bacon is everything, so much so that on this episode, that’s all Kirk and Lindsey talk about: thick vs. thin, crispy vs. chewy, is burnt bacon acceptable, is pouring maple syrup over it a tragedy, is turkey bacon as good as regular, is veggie bacon a crime against humanity, what doesn’t go with bacon — it’s a total bacon fest! (That is, until the two try a bacon dish that is so bad that it nearly makes them lose faith.)

Kirk and Lindsey are back together again, and, boy oh boy, does Lindsey have some big news! More importantly, she shows off her impressive taco game in this episode…cause the girl knows her stuff. The two discuss how many tacos you should eat in polite public, corn vs. flour, why hard shell tacos are complete B.S., which is the best taco filling, is cheese even needed in a taco, the brilliance of fish tacos, and why Taco Bell is gross and amazing all at the same time.

It’s the first episode of the new year and, of course, Lindsey is on vacation. So Kirk has brought in his teenage son, Theodore, to speak on the most basic (and most comforting?) of foods…the chicken tender. They talk best dipping sauce, worst dipping sauce, how do tenders compare to chicken nuggets, what age should you stop ordering chicken tenders, and debate whether “strips”, “fingers”, and “tenders” are the exact same thing or not. The two then road trip it to SIX different fast food joints to determine who has the best chickie tendies around. (Chickie tendies is a thing…deal with it.)

It’s the end of the year and Kirk and Lindsey didn’t kill each other — HOORAY!!! So for the last episode of 2021, the two recap all the episodes they did, starting all the way back with episode #43 when they talked about salad (where Kirk lost the salad-making contest), and going up to episode #93, the holiday potluck show where they discovered that egg nog tastes exactly like bubblegum (and not in the good way). It’s a rehash of old arguments that still won’t die, as well as a teaser of what’s to come in season three. Happy new year!!!
