Footage Foreplay

In this week's review episode the gang tasted some Southern Fried disappointment with the OnlyFoundFootageFans assignment, Evan brought an omnibus anthology from a massive list of auteur directors who were tasked with a film school style challenge, while Russell brought an in-world camera film from Connor O'Malley that Evan also saw, and Terrell shows up with a whopping four (extra spicy) new releases!

This week the gang was joined by Unnamed Footage Festival special jury award winners Rachel Kempf & Nick Toti to discuss their masterfully crafted found footage horror film It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This, which has it's first limited theater release this weekend via Alamo Drafthouse, following an incredibly successful film festival tour! They also talk about past endeavors, their upcoming feature Homebody (which Evan worked on in a still confidential capacity), and tease their next found footage horror outing — for the first time ever!

In this week's review episode the gang is upset about the quality of the OnlyFoundFootageFans pick and even more upset that Evan didn't watch it. What he did watch was a controversial movie from sibling NYC auteurs that he loved, while Russell showed up with a bonafide classic that'll have you feelin' lucky as well as a review of the first horror flick of the year which he saw alongside Terrell, who shares his own thoughts on this folky pick before diving into an additional, much campier new release!

This week the gang decided to do something a little different than our usual Thursday guest episode and give y'all an end of the year recap of sorts where they pass the torch around to dive into their respective five favorites of the year! Naturally, they all put a slightly different spin on how they structured the picks in addition to being all over the place with the entries, making for a fun and varied lists that are sure to garner some interesting reactions as well as hopefully give you something to go seek out that you might've missed this year.

This week's review episode finds the gang pulling coal from their OnlyFoundFootageFans stocking but making the absolute most out of the cringe. Evan actually watched a horror film but the catch is it's set 45,000 years ago, Russell tried to be clever by bringing a film that's (not) interchangeable with another tentpole 2025 release: a pick that ended up biting him in the neck, and Terrell shows up with a pair of new releases boasting lots of fangs!

For the jam-packed review episode this week, the gang disagrees on an OnlyFoundFootageFans pick, Evan continues his holiday extravaganza with a raunchy Christmas comedy led by Brian Posehn, Russell discusses a trio of films including the debut feature from Ehrland Hollingsworth that we briefly brought up last week, a documentary where an OnlyFans model "gets ran through by one hundred guys" in one day, and another from Kyle Mooney, before Terrell brings it home with another batch of new releases: Marvel's latest, some holiday horror on Shudder, and a festive outing from Adult Swim!

In this week’s review episode the gang leaps into an OnlyFoundFootageFans pick that they uniformly disliked greatly, Evan continues his unexpected Christmas extravaganza that kicked off last week (now with an intro jingle) by discussing a feel good holiday film directed by John McKeever and produced by QVC, Russell discusses the first entry in a Pixar film trilogy that he's in the process of discovering alongside his young son, and as always Terrell brings it home with a new release: a creature feature starring Frank Grillo!
