For Crying Out Loud

Lynette and Stefanie are back with their opening show of 2014! Lynette begins by talking about the Carolla's holidays in their new house. Then Stefanie goes over her recent family outing to a practically empty Six Flags. Next, the girls address a Facebook question about what it takes to raise a foster child with two gay friends as parents. Lynette finishes off the show by letting out some rage about a recent confrontation with another school parent.

As the show opens Lynette and Stefanie commiserate about the perils of online christmas shopping and how annoying it can be that products you've already bought your kids start popping up as ads on other websites where the kids may be able to see. Then we bring in our guests Kay Hanley and Michelle Lewis who open telling us who they are and their current project Doc McStuffins. Lynette and Stefanie then start asking Kay and Michelle about their history in the music business and they spend the rest of the show regaling us with some of their endless amazing stories from their careers thus far.

Lynette opens the show this week with frustrations she's been dealing with recently including thanksgiving, moving into her new house, and having her car towed while at the gym. Stephanie then lets some steam off from a recent e-mail exchange involving a few moms from her daughters theater company. They then discuss each others trouble with the kids wetting their beds all the time. The show finishes with Lynette talking about a new show she's been watching about polyamorous couples.

The ladies are back this week talking Christmas because it's that time of year and they revisit the Elf on the Shelf nonsense they're both dealing with. Stefanie then poses a question to the audience that we want to hear your reactions to (go post on our Facebook page!). We then transition to taking your Facebook questions from our listeners.

Lynette opens the show by regaling us with the stories from the recent party she went to with Adam in honor of Jimmy Kimmel. We then jump into our new bit 'The Emperors New Clothes'. Stefanie expresses her displeasure with a popular writer, Gary talks about a recent appearance on a podcast as a guest and Lynette reveals a frustration with some of the modern 'art' we have today. The ladies also discuss books that their kids are into right now and some of their favorites from childhood that they've been trying to introduce to their kids. As the show wraps up the discussion turns to the Holiday season and how to temper the number of gifts for the kids without disappointing them.

Lynette and Stefanie open this weeks show trying to examine the question, who's got time to have friends? They then dive right into the Facebook questions we received and touch on issues from 'mommy guilt', getting caught having sex by your kids and the difficulties of finding a compromise when you disagree with your significant other. We also do a new segment where we all bring up something that seemingly everyone loves that we just don't understand.

Lynette and Stefanie open the show talking about Elby's birthday which occurred the day we recorded the show. Stef explains all the festivities that have been going on in honor of the birthday including a slumber party and a trip to Six Flags' Magic Mountain. Lynette then transitions into a story about her recent trip to New York to see Bruce perform. They also give an update on some of the reality TV they've been watching as well as some talk about recent movies everyone has seen. To wrap up the show the ladies take a few listener questions from our Facebook page.

Lynette and Stefanie are rolling solo this week and the show opens with Lynette defending herself against Adam's telling of a story on his own show. Lynette also gives us some behind the scenes scoop on a Hollywood Halloween party she attended. Midway though the show the ladies bring in Stefanie's good friend Kelly Hunter and they discuss their Halloween costume experiences with their kids. Lynette also confesses about getting a little frustrated with our former guest Olguy over homework. Kelly and Stefanie also share their homework stories and commiserate with Lynette.

Lynette and Stefanie are back at it again solo this week with a brand new episode! They open the show discussing Lynette's recent appearance on Stefanie's Nickelodeon show Parental Discretion with Stefanie Wilder Taylor. Then the two dive in to some fan questions from Facebook. As the show wraps up, Lynette and Stefanie discuss their kids' Halloween plans.
