Free Birth Society

Olivia walked out of a hospital ten years ago and decided she would never go back. When she got pregnant in 2023, freebirth was simply the next step. Then her first pregnancy went to 45 weeks. She had shared her dates with tens of thousands of followers; her parents were afraid, and in those final weeks she was on her hands and knees, praying and asking herself if she had gotten it all wrong.

In this episode, Olivia shares both of her births: a 40-plus hour first labor that challenged her and her husband, and a second birth at 39 weeks that lasted six to seven hours and left her laughing. We talk about how she set a calm, clear boundary with her parents, why she built her birth around the experience she wanted, what it has cost her to share her story publicly, and why she believes hard does not mean wrong.
