Melvin Brewing was born in the back of a Thai restaurant in 2009, when owner Jeremy Tofte decided to bring beers from the future to Jackson, Wyoming. Their 20 gallon brew system quickly grew into a 3 barrel system, and they served their award-winning beers with sides of Asian street food, kung fu movies and old school hip hop. After winning Small Brewpub of the Year at GABF 2015, they opened a 30 barrel production facility 45 minutes away in Alpine (pop 750) with the awesome help of the people of Wyoming. Shortly thereafter, they went on to win Brewing Group of the Year at GABF 2017. Embracing the chaos and riding the wave, Melvin Brewing has now been taking its world class beers on a worldwide tour, via their lifted border patrol Melvin bus. Remember: if your beer is not madness, it’s not beer.
Upon first crack of New England Breakfast Ale, you may notice the aromas of roasted malt, coffee, and maple syrup. Upon first sip, you’ll notice a blend of maple syrup, coffee, and a light nuttiness.

BEER EVENT OF THE WEEK
EVENT: She the People
WHERE: Cape May Brewing Company in Cape May, New Jersey
WHEN: Friday, March 6th from Noon till 8pm
WHAT: Cape May Brewing Company is celebrating the strong, smart, and talented women in brewing with their first Pint Night of 2020! In conjunction with International Women’s Day, they’ll be raising funds to support the Pink Boots Society, an organization focused on advocating for female professionals in our industry.
For the second year in a row, the women of Cape May Brewing Company have joined forces to devise and brew a beer in collaboration with the Pink Boots Society. After last year’s wildly successful “Maybe She’s Brewed with It,” this year, they’ve brewed She the People: a pilsner flavored with passionfruit and mango, complementing the naturally fruity Pink Boots hops blend of Loral, Idaho Gem, Azacca, and El Dorado.
Furthering the cause for the female movers and shakers in the beer industry, the Pink Boots Society assists, inspires, and encourages women professionals in brewing, advancing their careers through seminar programs and educational scholarships. At the Pint Night, you’ll get the chance to chat with members of the Pink Boots Society who will be on-hand to answer questions and raise awareness.
The Pink Boots Society will receive $1 from each pint and flight sold in the Tasting Room, as well as $1 from each $11.99+tax four-pack of 16-ounce cans of She the People sold in the Brewtique, with the funds raised going to support the educational initiatives of the Pink Boots Society. Swing on through!!
