Brandon P. Fleming is a debate coach at Harvard and founder of the nationally acclaimed Harvard Diversity Project. That’s a long way from the path he started out on as a teenage drug dealer more interested in basketball than books. Fleming joins host Krys Boyd to discuss his childhood surrounded by poverty and crime, his dreams shattered by injury, and his ultimate redemption, which he found in teaching himself and others to be express themselves. His book is called “Miseducated: A Memoir.”
