Andrew Hamilton was jailed for four months for the large commercial supply of magic mushrooms and LSD less than 2 years ago. He could have faced life behind bars. Today, he is a stand up comedian who shares his story of his time in jail and rehabilitation with crowds in comedy clubs all across the country.

In this episode of Motive & Method, Tim and Xanthe speak to Andrew about his experience of the prison system in Australia to discuss how certain crimes are weighed within both the legal system and amongst other criminals in jail, and what life looks like after being behind bars.

You can see Andrew Hamilton’s Sydney Comedy Festival show “Jokes I Wrote the Time I Went To Prison” at The Factory Theatre.
