It’s Thursday, so it’s another From the Rookery End podcast, brought to you by The Athletic.
This week Adam Leventhal is joined by Dave (back from the home end at the Etihad) and Mike (back from the home end at Sparta Prague) to discuss the key points of the Watford week, as the season inches ever closer to its conclusion.
The chaps discuss Adam’s latest piece which takes a look at who might be in the frame for the Head Coach role at Vicarage Road, while also talking about two players that will almost certainly be following Roy Hodgson out of the WD18 exit.
There’s also a look ahead to this weekend’s clash with Sean Dyche-less Burnley, with expert insight from The Athletic’s Burnley correspondent Andy Jones.

Watford matches against Manchester City, especially those at the City of Manchester Stadium, have never been pretty affairs. And, with many horrible results hanging over our heads, most of the FTRE gang decided to stay away but we're following the match all afternoon. Jon and Colin went to Oxhey Beer Festival, Mike went even further - PRAGUE - but DCW made the journey and crazily sat in the Man City end.
You know how the afternoon went, but let's hear how it went for the guys.
5 games to go and we'll be there every step of the way.
COME ON YOU ORNS!!!

Welcome to Thursday morning and welcome to the latest midweek FTRE. We talk about the changes that seem to be planned at Watford - the manager/head coach and at Watford's Academy.
Adam shares what he has learnt in his investigations and the trio discuss the possible impact and likelihood of them coming to fruition.
Plus they put themselves through the misery of remembering the Hornets last visit to the Etihad.

Following the Hornets 10th successive home defeat, a 2-1 loss to Brentford, Jason, Jordi are led by Jacob from WD18. The three discuss the dire first half, the resurgent second but ultimatly what turned into a very Watfordy result.
On a brighter note, and on a more Watfordy way as the original family club, several Junior Hornets get to spend the day at the clubs London Colney training ground and Jon caught up with two of them - Arlo, who you all know well, and Jon's son Eli. They were two very excited young fans. And we also hear about the latest fans group to bring minority fans together - The Watford Christians.
Not long left now... COME ON YOU ORNS.

And, of course, we'll be looking ahead to this weekend's action when the Bees of Brentford visit Vicarage Road. Jay Harris, who reports on Brentford for the Athletic, gives us the lowdown on our opponents and how we may FINALLY get a home win for Watford fans.

With no Watford fixture this weekend, The Athletic’s Watford correspondent Adam Leventhal took the opportunity to hang out with an old friend…
In this podcast you will hear from former Hornets boss Aidy Boothroyd as he talks to Adam about what life has been like post Watford, post England U21 and what the immediate future holds.
It’s a fascinating listen and a nintriguing insight into the life of someone for whom football is clearly integral.
While the chat touches on Aidy’s time at Watford, this episode is a much broader chat and will, we’re sure, be interesting for supporters of any club.
We’ll be back after the International break when Watford face the daunting prospect of a trip to Anfield, but until then, kick back, relax, and enjoy catching up with Aidy.
Come on you ‘Orns!

Whilst Watford took an FA Cup enforced weekend off, Jon, Mike and Jason gathered to discuss fans' views on an array of topics. After asking fans to Twitter, "We’ve asked this question before, but it seems like a good time to raise it again. You’re at a Fan’s Forum with Scott/Gino. You have the mic. What question are you asking? The caveat is that you have to be genuinely willing to ask it in a face to face situation."
So we decided to take the best ones and discuss them. We aren't answering the questions, remember we aren't the club, we are just a few fans sharing our ideas and wondering how they would go down.
The hot topics include: not sticking with a manager, finding a connection with the club, what are the clubs targets and should someone else take over the control of the club's football operations.
