The latest episode of the 2018 Frontstretch Podcast features the Frontstretch duo of Dustin Albino and Mike Neff, as well as Justin Haley, driver of the No. 24 GMS Racing Chevrolet in the Camping World Truck Series.
Haley locked himself into the Round of 6 in the playoffs with a win at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park on Sunday (Aug. 26), but it didn’t come without controversy. On the final corner, Noah Gragson drove into Kyle Busch Motorsports teammate Todd Gilliland, spinning both machines. Haley snuck by the victory.
The winner of the race discusses the last corner, while also bringing up what the No. 24 team needs for a real shot at the championship. Haley also mentions what his ideal Truck schedule would look like, which includes more road courses and short tracks.
Finally, the trio discusses the eventful XFINITY Series race at Road America, where Justin Allgaier picked up his fourth victory of the season. Bill Elliott, who made his return to one of the top three national touring series finished 20th, but Haley describes how he’s leaned on the veteran driver since making the announcement.
Neff also goes on a rant for Lilly Diabetes taking its logos off Conor Daly‘s car for a racial slur his father used more than three decades ago.
