This week your favorite trio of podcasters are continuing on the path of spooky things when we all, except Adam (who, as always, didn't know the assignment so he didn't do it) watched the new TV show "Carrie". That being said, Adam has read the book AND seen the OG movie from waaaaaaay back when John Travolta had a full head of hair and the height of horror was pouring a bucket of pig's blood on someones head (spoilers!). We LOVE Stephen King stuff. Matt has read all 1k+ pages of the unabridged version of "The Stand", as has Adam. This wouldn't be considered an accomplishment for Taters as she's an avid reader but for the other two jabronis? That's impressive. That being said, strap in for one more trip down horror lane as we spend what is essentially the last fun week in October talking about our love of the KING of Horror, Mr. Stephen King. Have a great week and thanks for listening!
...but he still loves them. We promise, he actually makes a very valid point with his hot take on zombies. Yes, here we are again, smack dab in the middle of Halloween and we LOVE IT. This week we talk about how we'd survive a zombie apocalypse! Yes, we know, it's been done. It's been talked about by MANY other shows but honestly, we genuinely don't care. Are our takes unique and or fresh? Haha, probably not. Do we care? Nopity nope! Do we hope you'll be entertained? Of course! That being said, we talk about our favorite zombie TV shows, zombie worlds we THINK we'd survive in and how Matt and Taters both would be terrible neighbors to have in an apocalypse. Maybe not Matt given his extensive selection of frozen foods but Taters? Terrible neighbor who's ALREADY eyeing the houses around her in a manifest destiny kinda way. So grab your baseball bat, you know the one with the nails sticking out of it, your favorite bug out bag and decide which of your friends is gonna be the most useful when the end times come! This is...FUELED BY NOSTALGIA!!!
For real people, how did we become the OLD PEOPLE?! Yes, we are all aware that our podcast is based on nostalgia, we get that but reading that Pearl Jam's "10" album is 35 FORKING YEARS OLD IS JUST TOO MUCH!!! That album is currently no longer partying, it's thinking that staying up past 10 is way too late and gets excited at the idea of buy a new pair of New Balance because Nikes really hurt it's feet. COME ON. So that's what this episode is about. This week we dive into (ugh) Classic Rock, or what's now officially considered classic rock. This hurts our collective hurts. The tripod is okay with getting old until we realize things we rocked out to, things that feel like they were yesterday were 35 YEARS AGO. Normally we'd end this description with some quippy little pun about getting ready to be Fueled by Nostalgia but it's past 9pm and we just took our Tums and magnesium and it's time for bed. Enjoy the show.
We all know that one of the things that catch people in the feels is being exposed to stuff that brings on that wonderful feeling of nostalgia. That's why we do this show, because it gives three old heads the ability to chat each week about stuff that takes us back to that spot, that place where we were maybe exposed to something new, something that would inevitably imprint itself on our hearts. That being said, when a show like "Totally 90's House" comes into our world we are all about it! This week we talk about icons of the 90s who might've slipped out the limelight, our love of this weird show where 90s icons remodel old homes, Adam talks about his dominance once again in Fantasy Football (Matt might already be mathematically eliminated!) and Taters enters a legally binding agreement to watch "The Ice Pirates" and provide a review for her dozens and dozens of fans! All this and more this week on "FUELED BY NOSTALGIA"!!!

Welcome back, Combustors! That's right, you've found yourself once again riding with us for at LEAST an hour as we talk all things going on in the world. This week we are talking about how physical media has become a hot button issue, what with Sony and their Playstation shit choices really coming to the forefront. On top of that it's interesting how younger generations are actually very into starting music collections which you know for a FACT "the man" does not want because the reality is they can't sell you the newest greatest thing if you're constantly now looking backwards at the greatest old thing! Yeah, that was a lot, I know. Anyways, it's fine. IT'S FINE. On the plus side, none of the tripod are get off my lawn people, we appreciate a lot of modern technology we just...we happen to rebel against trash that's going to hurt or secretly hold societal advancement back. That's our goal, SOCIETAL ADVANCEMENT. Can't change the name of the show though, Matt had hats made. Grab your FBN hat, your Discman (or walkman!) and let's all ride off into the sunset together this week on..."FUELED BY NOSTALGIA"!!!
Welcome back my friends to the show that never... lol well it didn't end but it took a break. Took a breather. And no, before anyone asks, Adam wasn't jailed by the current administration as they realize HE is the true brains behind Mamdani and the DS movement. Also, no, Taters did NOT find herself in a "Lost" scenario, where she was spending her time on a tropical island fleeing polar bears and smoke monsters (spoilers! The polar bears were IMPORTED!) AND FINALLY, no Matt did not find himself on a week long wine country bender ending with him riding various trains downing copious amounts of blueberry wine whilst turning his teeth a weird shade of Smurf blue. No, we had our things, mainly Matt and Taters. Adam sat at home and played FIFA and consumed reality TV and NFL. Taters attended Gran'ma Taters' Celebration of Life. (pour one out for la gran jefa!) and Matt attended a wedding (WE LOVE LOVE!). We catch up, make each other laugh, find out how Adam is outright spanking these fools at fantasy football and MORE on this week's edition of..."FUELED BY NOSTALGIA"!!!
Welcome back true believers! This week your favorite nostalgia fueled hosts take a quick glance at every something most every nerd has a love of...board games! Yup. Listen, at some point we've all played a board game. We all have family members we stopped talking to briefly because of a Monopoly incident nobody talks about. We've all made the dick move while playing Uno where we've done a draw three, draw four, reversed and THEN tossed down yet ANOTHER draw four (which side note, Taters claims is against the rules)!!! It's fine, it's all love within the safe confines of your favorite board game. Also, board games have a tendency to bring out the best and worst in most of us. We're all ultra-competitive when we sit down for a long four hour stretch of Risk. It is what it is, just enjoy the ride. So, without further ado, we are fueled by our love of board games and we are...FUELED BY NOSTALGIA!!!
If you're the very unique blend of nerd who loves all things pop culture AND can name every single starting QB in the NFL PLUS you might know where damn near every free agent signed this season then HAVE WE GOT THE EPISODE FOR YOU! That's right, it's FANTASY FOOTBALL TIME!!! LOL yes, we can hear all the traditional nerds groaning and it's FINE, you'll get over it. Also, we absolutely loathe those nerds who call it "sports ball". Good lord man, you've heard of football just call it by the proper name. Pretentiousness doesn't look good on you, loves. Anyways, that's the name of the game this week as Matt has taken it upon himself to create a very fun alternative version of fantasy football! So grab your favorite FF magazine that is no doubt already out of date even though you bought it only a month ago, check all the free agent signings and get your draft board ready because we are headed onto the gridiron this week! WE are..."FUELED BY NOSTALGIA!!!"
Salutations and greetings, true believers as you have once again found yourselves plugged into the GREATEST nostalgia based podcast found in the HISTORY of mankind! That's right, we are, in fact, sexy and we know it (and now that song is stuck in your heads as it has been ours for a minute now). This week we have our favorite Pop Cultureologist, one Mr. Zach Taylor for a sit down and chat session. Zach is a fascinating guy because he is waaaaaay smarter than all of us. He's one of those people who just knows things and this week we're talking about his and Taters' love of video games. That's right, because let's face it, video games are a massive part of the history of pop culture and just one episode isn't enough. Grab your favorite controller, get your gaming chair positioned just right and make sure you're ready, Player one, because we are headed on the path to video game utopia! All this and more this week on "FUELED BY NOSTALGIA!!!"
That's right true believers, the man, the myth the LEGEND Mr. Cody Ziglar has returned! This week we chat with Mr. Ziglar about "Spider-Man: Brand New Day", chat about comics and Cody takes a sec to pull back the curtain and chat about his love of Miles Morales, writing for Marvel and She-Hulk AND a little origin story action as we learn how he got started in comics. How cool is that?! Ladies and gentlemen, grab your web shooters, your favorite Spidey costume and get ready to ride the webs as we take you on another ride this week on..."FUELED BY NOSTALGIA!!!"
