HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US!!! Yes, we've completed our FIRST FULL ROTATION AROUND THE SUN!!! That's right ladies and gentlemen, your favorite podcast has officially hit one year old. It's amazing when you think about where we came from to where we are now, running around like a drunk toddler, banging into things, making mistakes but laughing the whole way. We've learned so much in our first year but the most important lesson to consider is if you're going to do something like this, do it for you. Do it for the people you're recording with. Don't do it because you think you're gonna get thousands of listeners, do it because you have like-minded people you really like being around and wanna spend time chatting with. It's not always going to be great but it CAN always be fun. That's what this first year was for us. It was FUN and we love that you've gotten to spend it with us. So, without further ado we present our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY EPISODE!!! Enjoy and here's to more FUELED BY NOSTALGIA!!!

This week we dial it back a bit, no guests, just the ol' tripod coming right at you with some... recycled nostalgia goodness! Your three heroes took the time, so YOU don't have to, to watch some movies based on old skool properties. We cover all things from "Battleship", Masters of the Universe, both new and old, the Barbie movie... just all of it. Anything that's an old IP that's been resurrected because capitalism, we just run through it all. Some of it we loved, some of it we absolutely hated and wish had never existed and some of it was just kinda meh. Regardless, we did this for YOU! It's so cool to talk to someone so passionate about what they do and that's Johnny. When we have the opportunity to sit in with us, someone passionate about what they do... the conversation just moves by itself. It should feel fluid and easy and that's how things went with Johnny G. Wiz. We dabbled in everything from where their musical roots hit to the business of making music for a living, to the grind and work that goes into making their particular brand of music. Welcome to this week's edition of Fueled by Nostalgia! This week we welcome author Brian Cave, author of the "Old School Evil" series! Brain fell right in with this crew as we go over everything from old school cartoons we loved, Brian's amazing novels and...platypus milk? Yup, as usual we are a bunch of messy benches (been watching a LOT of "The Good Place", IYKYK) and you are HERE FOR IT. So, without further ado, make sure you've got your comfiest jammies on, grab your favorite bowl of sugary stupid unhealthy 80's cereal, find that remote your dad lost in the couch cushion last night and lock in because we have your attention, at least until Soul Train comes on! Unlike your parents though, we won't boot you outdoors and tell you you've been sitting too long because we know YOU don't NEED that additional exercise because you are... FUELED BY NOSTALGIA!!!

Welcome back my friends to the show that never ends! We are BACK and this week we are celebrating the 10th anniversary of Pokemon Go! Naturally one of us (Matt) took the assignment seriously and the other one (Adam) presented ideas for Pokemon you can eat. Taters then followed Adam down the dark path he started. Mind you, Matt isn't a better person because he too would not only happily eat Pokemon but he found the appropriate cookbook! The only Pokemon we can't dine on is Squirtle because Taters has a deep familial connection to turtles (message received, all turtle-based Pokemon are off the table. Literally!). All this and we finally find a spot where Adam is DEFINITELY not confident and more on this week's edition of "FUELED BY NOSTALGIA!!!"

The title of the episode has absolute nothing to do with the actual episode but we LOVE a good pun. This week we talk about summers past, Taters delves into more of her life on the island growing up, Adam talks about having his toe mutilated in a fairly polluted NJ creek while trying to perform a rescue operation on a turtle and Matt throws out recommendations on his new favorite band! We're keeping it light here people because coming up we're ramping up with special guests, some fun games and more! That being said, it's time! Throw your favorite pop tarts in the toaster (strawberry and brown sugar are the only acceptable options in our opinion), press pause on X-Men '97 and kick back while we take you on an oral trip to to summers past! WE ARE...FUELED BY NOSTALGIA!!!

Here we are people. It's almost that time again when Americans get out and celebrate their American-ness by eating copious amounts of charred food, blowing things up and, for some of us, going full Florida-Man. That happens, and it's fine. We get it, you're stoked about the birthday of your country. On this episode we talk about stuff that's amused us with the World Cup being in North America, watching foreigners eating American foods and realizing their lives are about to become 70% sadder once they're forced to go back to their sad, bland existence (Scotland, England, Norway...we're looking directly at YOU). It's over folks, and we did not just survive Phoenix FanFusion 2026...WE THRIVED. We got to talk to some amazing guests, meet some great new fans and just have an all around hell of a good time. Taters CLAIMS she doesn't have FanFusion hangover but we think she's just playing tough as she doesn't like showing any weakness (she feels as though her enemies are listening? It's a whole thing.) We won't lie, we were a little nervous about our robot overlords taking over (Matt has a great respect for them so long as he can still watch funny animal videos...tbh all three of us feel that way) until we saw that video of the robot just kinda dying on the vine while attempting to moonwalk. This episode we go over our very valid mistrust of AI, Matt talks about being the old guy in line at Culver's and decides to have a very emotional moment while describing his feelings AND we give some deets about our upcoming live shows at Phoenix FanFusion! All this and MORE so even though it looks like our society might be heading to a Thunderdome-style finish where we're all fighting for water and gas don't worry because we've got you covered as we are...
