This 2015 Funky House installment of the House Sessions series is a deep, danceable mix designed for bars, clubs, and late-night radio. The set rides a cool steady pulse that drifts between roughly 128 and 115 BPM, blending funkier grooves with sleeker deep-house textures to keep the flow tight and head-nodding.

This 2015 Funky House / Deep House installment of the House Sessions series delivers the first of two extended club-ready mixes designed to close out the season. The set leans into deep house’s mainstream crossover while keeping funk-forward grooves and DJ-friendly extended mixes front and center, and it runs unapologetically over 80 minutes.

Highlights include ZHU’s Automatic (Suraci Extended Mix), Disclosure’s Magnets (A‑Trak Remix), an Oliver Heldens & Shaun Frank rework (Win & Woo x Kiso Remix), and fresh takes like Ultra Nate’s Free 2015 (Slim Tim Remix) and Snakehips’ All My Friends (99 Souls Club Mix). The selection balances melodic deep textures, vocal hooks, and unexpected remix choices that work equally well in headphones or on a dancefloor.

This mix was hand-curated through multiple pass-throughs to land the right flow; expect smooth transitions and a few surprises. Part 2 follows tomorrow, rounding out a two-part house session for late 2015.

This is a 2015 funky house / deep house set — Rollin’ in the Deep pt. 1 — built to clear the hard drive and showcase the groove-forward direction EDM was drifting toward. Expect steady, club-ready house with warm low-end and modern funk influences rather than the older electro-house sound; it’s presented as one of the final pure house mixes before the holiday and EDM specials arrive.

Highlights include the TCTS remix of Watermat, Becky Hill & Tai’s “All My Love,” Kideko’s remix of Alex Adair’s “Heaven,” and a roomy extended cut of Calvin Harris & Disciples’ “How Deep Is Your Love.” The set also leans on reworks and future-house edits — from The Shapeshifters’ take on Cee Lo Green to Joe Stone & Daser’s “Freak” and Grant Nelson’s 2015 rerub of Solu Music’s “Fade” — keeping transitions smooth and the floor-moving momentum steady for just over an hour.

Party Favorz stitches together laid-back house, funky edits, and a few peak-time remixes so the set feels relaxed without losing momentum.

Highlights steer between warm textures and club energy: Dosem’s remix of NY’s Finest opens the vibe, Claptone reframes Roisin Murphy’s “Evil Eyes,” and Todd Terry’s club mix pumps new life into Robyn & La Bagatelle feat. Magique. Michael Calfan’s take on Duke Dumont’s “Ocean Drive” and David Morales’ club touch add classic house polish, while The Shapeshifters deliver a roomy rework of NoNoNo’s “Pumpin Blood.”

At roughly 81 minutes, the mix favors groove and flow over nonstop peaks—an ideal soundtrack for decompressing at home or easing into a night out.

Highlights include Superlover’s “Love Machine” and the throwback vocal energy of DJ Dan & Diva Danielle’s “I Got A Man,” with darker club edges from Technasia & Green Velvet’s “Suga.” Reworks and remixes add texture: Bingo Players’ French Fried take on Mystery Skulls featuring Brandy & Nile Rodgers and Claptone’s remix of Disclosure’s “Omen” provide classy reimagining, while Sandy Rivera supplies soulful, housey ballast later in the set. Press play for a thoughtful, groove-focused hour that favors steady momentum over flash.
