Sumitha Kutty and Pranay Kotasthane discuss India—Iran relations in the backdrop of Prime Minister Modi's recent visit to Iran, when the long awaited agreement on Chabahar port was signed.

Sumitha is an Associate Research Fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS) in Singapore. Her work focuses on India’s foreign and security policies toward the Middle East, particularly Iran. She understands Farsi and has also travelled to Iran. She was a scholar at Takshashila in 2015 working on mapping India's response to changes in Iran's global status.

Pranay Kotasthane is a Research Fellow with the Takshashila Institution.
