Publisher's Summary:
"teZa Lord is an angel of the heart, a sky dancer and dakini who has devoted her life to love, aesthetic beauty, and the art of transformation. In everything she does, every word she writes, every canvas she adorns, she points the way to light and a higher realm of being." - Wade Davis, author, TED speaker, National Geographic Explorer, anthropologist, ecologist
"I predict this book will become a classic!" - Alan Garner, multiple best-selling author
"A well told, deeply moving story of hope and redemption that will inspire you in your awakening. This book is a gem that you will want to read slowly and savor every passage!" - Dr. Steven Farmer, author of Sacred Ceremony and Healing Ancestral Karma
"I couldn't put it down!" - Rita Golden Gelman, author of Tales of a Female Nomad: Living at Large in the World
"In the I is a true-life spiritual adventure story, packed with suspense and helpful hints on how to breathe, be still and learn to love oneself. The actual storm that Lord describes is a metaphor for the human condition: her work with hard-core juvenile delinquent girls, an inspiration to those who wish to make a difference in today's world. This book is a must-read for anyone on a spiritual path." - Reverend Alma Daniel, author of the classic, Ask Your Angels
Filled with irreverent humor, this quirky exploration of consciousness is disguised as a real-life saga, perfect for our challenging times. Least likely characters learn empowerment through breath, poses, and presence as Lord helps them create a "heaven in the midst of our hades". This audiobook proves that joy can be nurtured even in a crazy toxic world.

In the I
I am impressed. I didn't know what to expect, and whatever I had expected was definitely NOT in that book. In many ways it is magical, blending your life story with the life stories of more than a dozen other girls, all entwined with the real life event of a major hurricane, while strengthening those lost and found spirits with the discovery of self (the I) through the medium of yoga mediated by the power of a serious storm arising from not within ourselves but from an outside power not even cognizant of our inner storms. Chapter 27 was especially impressive. I think this is a powerful book and will certainly obtain several copies to give to family and friends. There is one person I especially think would like to read of this journey - Jondhi Harrell, an african american member of our philadelphia quaker meeting who has spent time in prison and who actively works with young people in prison and recently released from there. I have only one criticism/suggestion - it needs more pictures/drawings/artwork - one per chapter!
The more you read, the more you learn, and the more you want!
teZaâs âin the Iâ is page turner not only because of the endearing plot and characters but one very soon discovers we are being gifted enoromous insight into yoga, far ahead of what one learns in a standard class of many poses. Once we get the first glimpse of yogaâs power, we thirst to learn more and are not disappointed.
Teza goes deep.
every page is a meditation
a chance to listen and expand ourselves a sorting of the chaff from the grain.
