  • 023: Death To Dad Bod with Travis Stoetzel | The Mindset Men Need to Get Their Edge Back In Life

    Send us Fan Mail

Today's episode is one I am PUMPED about.

Travis Stoetzel is a bad Mother fu*cker. One look through his instagram or facebook page will show you that.

Travis runs The Forged Athlete, a strength & conditioning gym in Omaha, Nebraska and he runs an online community known as the The Forged Father where he helps men get back the physical and mental edge in life to reclaim the power they had earlier in life and felt like healthy, disciplined machines.

We dove into the problem with society accepting and encouraging mediocrity. I have been following his email newsletter for a LONG time and he was actually the person who got me interested in S&C initially and showed me it's possible to run a gym and change peoples lives.

How to help get back on track, stay on track, and see results in your life are covered in detail in this episode and if you're a busy dad open to joining a community of badass dudes aiming higher than the herd, don't hesitate to reach out to him!

  • 020: Upset About Censorship, The Olympics Are Off The Rails & Big Pharma Buried A Miracle Drug

    Send us Fan Mail

We spoke on some topics that are a little sensitive in this episode because well, it's uncomfortable to have tough conversations and getting uncomfortable is what we do best.

Big tech censorship & how it's typically the bad guys trying to shut down discussion and ideas of opposing beliefs, the olympics needing to update their banned substance list, and possibly create a new division to keep things fair for all athletes in male & female divisions, and how it seems like VERY rich pharmaceutical companies intentionally persuaded media to hide research & evidence of a promising medication to treat the pandemic causing virus.

No links & no references in these notes for this episode as we'd like to avoid being censored as mentioned in the episode but we do talk about where you can find the information referenced during the show.

    Send us Fan Mail

We'd love it if you could take a moment to leave us a review & hit that beautiful subscribe button on Apple podcasts if you like the show, and follow the show on Spotify.

Today Dakota and I broke down habit formation, how they form, how to build better ones, and how to get rid of bad ones. This really is the secret sauce when it comes to achieving anything.

Here are the books we mentioned:

The power of Habit by Charles Duhigg

    Atomic Habits by James Clear

The first step in our opinion is to know yourself. You have to know why you want something, where you're going to fall short, and how to overcome the mental barriers we put in our own way.

Then we dive into building more resiliency and mental toughness and how you can do that in your life. and finally we discuss 5 easy strategies to stop sabotaging your health, a post I put on my facebook page recently.

We hope you can find some massive value in this episode. If you do, we'd love for you to share it with a friend or family member or share the episode on your social media.

  • 014: Luke Frazier | Storytelling: How to Improve Your Business, Relationship & Life By Telling A Better Story

    Send us Fan Mail

In this weeks episode Luke Frazier from Parable Brand Stories (@ParableBrand) and I go DEEP on storytelling and the role it plays in business, relationships, and the way we see ourselves.

We touched on the benefits of stress & how it can cause you to grow and reach beyond what you though you could, how iron sharpens iron, surrounding yourself with people that will hold you accountable, the story of him starting his creative brand agency and the hurdles he had to overcome to start a new business.

We opened up a discussion about the importance of truly knowing yourself to tell yourself the right story and how therapy plays a role in that process.

This was an absolute blast and as always Luke knocked it out of the park and I found so much value and insight from this conversation and I hope you do too!
