What did you like best about False Impression? What did you like least?
I usually really enjoy Veronica Heleys books but this one was not up to her usual standard. I gave up on it 3/4 through as it was so childishly written. The narration was good but the storyline was just stupid and the writing was very amateurish.
Has False Impression put you off other books in this genre?
No and I will try the next Ellie Quike book also written by this author.
Have you listened to any of Patience Tomlinsons other performances? How does this one compare?
She is very good and this one was no exception
Did False Impression inspire you to do anything?

"I was grabbed by this book from the first page and read the ending with an open mouth. I wish I could unread it so that I could go back and discover it again. Brilliant!" (Angela Marsons, author of Silent Scream)

This was amazing, gripping and total worth a read or a listen. She's a fantastic author.
    could not stoo listening
I bought this souley due to the narrator if i m being honest. I find her easy to listen to and she brings characters to life. She did not dissapoint and neither did the story.
When I first started to listen I found the text dialogues a bit irratating however they were pivotal to this story which was a real who dunnit.
i finished in two sittings. I literally couldn't stop listening.
    good story excellent narration
enjoyed this story, good ending. Touched on every character close to Claire. Enjoyed the narration too

    Publisher's Summary:
Frank Kinkaid is every woman's dream come true: handsome, powerful, sophisticated, and very, very rich. A dream come true, that is, until he becomes her worst nightmare. For under this charismatic facade lies a man obsessed by the need to control, a man who regards women as objects to possess, to exploit, and to use to his own advantage, a man driven by heartless cruelty. For the magnetic Kinkaid, armed with shrewdness and charm, money and women seem easy to come by. But will one of these women ultimately prove to be his demise?
One storm-filled day the exquisitely stunning Laura O'Malley quite literally runs into Frank Kinkaid. Kinkaid has always loved beautiful women, comparing them to a fine thoroughbred or a rare piece of art. He immediately aspires to make Laura his own. She, on the other hand, is soon caught up by this handsome and charismatic stranger who charms and beguiles her. Little does she realize the consequences that lie ahead.
Annie Ross is a young and naïve girl struggling to make it through her last year of college after a failed romance that has left her torn and broken. Coming from simple and provincial roots and a strict religious upbringing, she seems utterly unaware of her striking appeal and sexual allure to a man like Frank Kinkaid. Her loneliness and naiveté combine to make her an easy and vulnerable target for Kinkaid who sweeps her into a world she has only read about. Her life will change in a way she could never have imagined.
Samantha Jessup grew up the hard way and learned early on that you had to fight for your place in the world. Ambitious and driven, Samantha has developed into a tough-minded, uncompromising businesswoman. Although strong-willed and highly successful, even she is no match for the cunning Kinkaid and the destruction he brings into her life. But on a dark, storm-filled summer night Frank Kinkaid will finally pay for his sins. The question is, "Who will become his executioner?"

    A Must Read!!!
If you could sum up A Reason to Kill in three words, what would they be?
    Suspenseful, intriguing and anticipatory
Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
Yes. From the beginning, I couldn't wait to find out who murdered Frank. He abused and manipulated so many people. It seems like everyone he came in contact with would want him dead.
What about Tony Vatsulas performance did you like?
Tony did an excellent job. He was incredibly dynamic. The emotion he brought to the characters was amazing. I felt as if I could feel Franks rage and Laura's pain.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
    Inconspicuous Revenge
    Any additional comments?
This mystery series was recommended to me and not being much of a reader due to my busy life, like most of us, I was thrilled when I found out this book was on audio. I recently took a business trip to California and listened to this book on my flights to and from. I can honestly say, I was intrigued through every chapter and found it hard to turn it off once the plane landed. In fact, I actually played it on the drive home from the airport. The plot, story lines and reveal were nothing short of unexpected and impressive. I can't wait to read/listen to books 3 & 4!
A man never deserved his own murder morel
Frank Kincaid is an extremely good-looking and very wealthy pig of a man.

    Fun and Fast!
If you could sum up Behind the Brick in three words, what would they be?
    Don't get caught!
What other book might you compare Behind the Brick to and why?
    1984.
What does Roy Wells bring to the story that you wouldnt experience if you just read the book?
Roy reads kind of like a newsman. He reminded me of Walter Cronkite. His voice really fit in well with the story.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Rachel's mom came to help her. She needed Mom's hugs.
    Any additional comments?
Another terrific book by Shaun Webb
    Weird.
It's an interesting premise and it had potential through the first few chapters. I thought it was going somewhere but it just fails to deliver. The characters are boring to the point I didn't care what happened to them. It's long, very anticlimactic and just sort of odd.
    Dystopian Bliss!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes. It's fast-paced and fun. Can you just imagine a state-sized prison?? Not unlike Escape from New York, yet different.
Who was your favorite character and why?
The man in the green truck interested me because he was able to recognize his own flaws and make amends.
Have you listened to any of Roy Wellss other performances before? How does this one compare?
    No.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
    No. It's far too long.
    Any additional comments?
Good job by Roy Wells and Shaun Webb. They came up with a refreshingly original story.

    A tense, spine chilling story
Tense, spine chilling and full of suspense. I just wanted to keep listening to find out what happened next. Wonderfully narrated. Highly recommended
    A lot of crying
This audio book did not really work for me. Had to constantly remind myself that a young girl was missing to help suppress a lot of irritation caused by the dialogue. All the characters seemed unlikeable but not in an entertaining way. As mentioned in the title plenty crying by just about everybody. What an awful sister Maggie has! I had hoped for some likable traits to emerge but no.
Thumbs up for a good read
Loved this book a cracking first novel and looking forward to reading many more by this author. Sad I have finished it
Really a waste of my time!
Narration was fine with the characters nicely presented BUT the quality of writing is very, very low. The end was totally ridiculous and even the narration could not paper over the lack of good storytelling.
What a great start - more like this please
I really enjoyed this book as it is a change from the usual crime stories, written from the point of view of the FLO
