Our special guest will be 20 year FDNY veteran Firefighter Joe Higgins. Joe joined the USMC 1979-1983. Was Appointed to FDNY 8/3/85 and Assigned to Engine 217 in Bed Stuy 57 Battalion. He Transferred to Ladder 111 in Dec. 1992. Became the DI for NYC Fire Academy on and off 1997-2001. He is part of an Iconic FDNY family with his 3 brothers and dad on the job. All were assigned to busy Brooklyn firehouses in which they fought many fires together. On 9/11 he lost his Brother Tim Higgins Squad 252 as well as many probies in which he had trained. He went to Afghanistan in 12/2001 and Retired 2005. He Served as the Freeport PAL Boxing Club Head Coach on Long Island for 25 years. Was USA Boxing Metro President from 2003-2009 and attended 3 Olympic Trials. He currently serves as the Head Coach of the USMC Boxing Team at Camp Lejeune NC. You don’t want to miss this one😎👍🏼.
