Listen to Pat tell the story of the Gray Man of Pawleys Island in South Carolina. This legend tells of a figure that appears to warn residents of impending severe storms, with the sightings as recent as 2018. There are several explanations of who the Gray Man is, so Pat dives into two of the most popular. Both involve missing fiances, and one is named Enoch Arden.

What real-life exorcism inspired The Exorcist? In Ghostly’s twenty-eighth episode, Pat and Rebecca continue their exploration of exorcisms by taking a closer look at the real story behind the movie The Exorcist. Roland Doe was a 14-year-old boy who survived a series of exorcisms at a hospital in St. Louis, but was he really possessed? Also included is a BONUS INTERVIEW with one of the owners of The Basement of the Dead haunted house attraction in Aurora, IL. He’s got some amazingly creepy stories of what happens in a haunted house in the wee hour of the night.

Who was the character of Regan based on, and what happened at the St. Louis exorcism? Who was Roland Doe? Did the real-life exorcism start with a Ouija board? How similar is the real story to the movie? Who conducted the exorcisms? How did the boy survive, and did the priests in the real story survive? Listen to Pat give the history of the real story behind the movie The Exorcist. A 14 year old boy was taught how to use a Ouija board with his aunt. When his aunt died, the boy started to experience paranormal activity around him and, eventually, in him. His family tried doctor after doctor, but eventually took him to St. Louis in search of a more religious answer. At Alexian Brothers hospital, the boy went through several weeks of daily exorcisms. Finally, the priests called for Saint Michael to fight the devil for the boy’s soul. Throughout the history, Rebecca explains the similarities and differences between the movie and the story behind the movie.

Rebecca’s Ghost Story dives into the filming of the movie and some of the paranormal events that happened to the cast and crew. The movie faced a lot of dark activity that eventually called for the director to ask a priest to come and conduct an exorcism on the set. While the priest refused to do an exorcism, he did perform a blessing.

In Ghostly’s twenty-seventh episode, Pat and Rebecca continue their exploration of exorcisms by taking a closer look at the real story behind the movie The Exorcism of Emily Rose. The movie is based on the real life of Anneliese Michel and her claim of being possessed. Her death after receiving the rite of exorcism led to criminal charges for her parents and the priests involved. Was Anneliese (aka Emily Rose) really possessed by demons?

Who is Anneliese Michel? What is the history of her illness? What odd things happened to Anneliese? How similar is the movie to the real story? Listen to Pat give the history of the real story behind the movie The Exorcism of Emily Rose. A young woman named Anneliese Michael experienced symptoms of what doctors said was epilepsy but what she and her parents came to believe was a possession by multiple demons. They found priests willing to perform exorcisms, 67 of them in all. When Anneliese died in 1976, the priests and the parents were charged with negligent homicide.

Rebecca adds to the story by going into the claim that Anneliese saw the Blessed Mary, who asked her to choose if she wanted to suffer and die to serve as a call to those who have fallen in their faith or to have the demons removed through an exorcism and she could live out her life. What did she choose? Also learn about the trial and whether the priests and parents were convicted of her death.

Oh, hey there! My name is Bob Anderson, and I host the paranormal show Bob After Dark. I became interested in the paranormal at a very young age. It all started with watching Unsolved Mysteries as a kid, and the rest was history. As I got older, my interests grew from just ghost stories. Cryptozoology, Lore, Extra Terrestrial, and even the Occult have all gained a fancy from me. Now, I’m on a quest to teach people the stuff their textbooks do not. Give them an idea of what is out there that can not be explained.

My name is Anthony Di Fabio, I was born and raised in beautiful Australia. As a child I spent most of my time immersed in nature, either on a beach watching and listening to the waves crashing onto the shore, to the stunning evenings where the moonlight and stars would seem to paint pictures across the water and sky, or in the wilderness reserves where I would feel an absolute powerhouse of energy. My explanation of these feelings of oneness and connection to the land would come many years later, as I found out about my Indigenous roots. I learnt at an early age that everything is connected in some form or another and we are all forms of energy constantly shifting to different vibrations. I’ve always been interested in the paranormal, encountering strange phenomena as a child and pre teen that I couldn’t explain. I dove into the occult studying as much as possible. Ancient ways of daily life and different religions/ practices from across the globe sparked my interest and I found the beauty in those that I encountered. There are so many things on this plane of existence that are not explainable by our own rational. Those are the things that drive me. Cheers! Anthony.
