Listen to Pat give the fascinating history of President Harrison. He grew up wanting to be a doctor, but ended up following many of his ancestors into politics. Harrison served in many posts, but one of his most famous was as Governor of the Northwest Territories and the Indiana Territory. While in this role, he negotiated with Native American tribes. One of these turned sour and helped lead to the War of 1812. A former military officer, Harrison left politics to join the war. This combination of military service and politics led him to the White House, but unfortunately, his presidency only lasted 31 days.  

After President Harrison’s untimely death, witnesses have claimed to hear him in the attic at the White House. Some have also claimed to see him as a figure with a blue glow, while others have claimed to see David Burns, the farmer whose land was taken to build the White House, in the attic. William Henry Harrison’s Vice President John Tyler was the first VP to take over for a president and has also been sighted in the White House as a ghost. Listen to Pat give the fascinating history of Bonnie and Clyde. The famous gangsters were bank robbers, murders, and lovers. After growing up in and out of prison, Clyde decided he would never be taken alive and Bonnie wanted to join him in a life of fame and glory. Former Texas Ranger Frank Hamer and his posse granted the duo their wish in May 1934 near Gibsland, Louisiana when they ambushed the couple and shot up their car.

Since Bonnie and Clyde’s gruesome deaths, their ghosts have been sighted where they died, where they are buried, in the car they were shot in, and in some of the places they stayed in the life on the run. Listen to Pat and Rebecca debate these sightings and give their believability ratings.

• Alvin “Creepy” Karpis (holds the record for the most time in prison on Alcatraz – 26 years) named creepy because of his sinister smile. He was a Canadian and of Lithuanian decent

What real-life exorcism inspired The Exorcist? In Ghostly’s twenty-eighth episode, Pat and Rebecca continue their exploration of exorcisms by taking a closer look at the real story behind the movie The Exorcist. Roland Doe was a 14-year-old boy who survived a series of exorcisms at a hospital in St. Louis, but was he really possessed? Also included is a BONUS INTERVIEW with one of the owners of The Basement of the Dead haunted house attraction in Aurora, IL. He’s got some amazingly creepy stories of what happens in a haunted house in the wee hour of the night.

Who was the character of Regan based on, and what happened at the St. Louis exorcism? Who was Roland Doe? Did the real-life exorcism start with a Ouija board? How similar is the real story to the movie? Who conducted the exorcisms? How did the boy survive, and did the priests in the real story survive? What creepy things happened on the set of The Exorcist? Was the exorcism behind the movie real?

Listen to Pat give the history of the real story behind the movie The Exorcist. A 14 year old boy was taught how to use a Ouija board with his aunt. When his aunt died, the boy started to experience paranormal activity around him and, eventually, in him. His family tried doctor after doctor, but eventually took him to St. Louis in search of a more religious answer. At Alexian Brothers hospital, the boy went through several weeks of daily exorcisms. Finally, the priests called for Saint Michael to fight the devil for the boy’s soul. Throughout the history, Rebecca explains the similarities and differences between the movie and the story behind the movie.

Rebecca’s Ghost Story dives into the filming of the movie and some of the paranormal events that happened to the cast and crew. The movie faced a lot of dark activity that eventually called for the director to ask a priest to come and conduct an exorcism on the set. While the priest refused to do an exorcism, he did perform a blessing.
