One side effect of being an ambitious and hard working woman is that you can often feel exhausted. 

This can be a hangover from the corporate workplace; the difference being that this time the pressure is coming from ourselves.

I am the queen of organisation and know that our busy lives flow well when they are well organised. However, I am also acutely aware that busy work can easily become a way of life that doesn't serve us.

It can feel counterintuitive - or even lazy - to slow down when you pride yourself on how hard you work, but by prioritising time for you - that all important self-care - you are allowing yourself the opportunity to quieten your busy mind and enable creativity and inspiration to flow naturally. 

It's time to be ruthless with your to-do list and filter out what can be delegated or dropped, to make way for time for you - time in which you can dive into your authenticity and allow the real you to shine through. The real, amazing, magnetic you that is ready to serve your clients.

Are you impatient to see the results of all your hard work? I know I am! But this impatience can become problematic.

I am buzzing with excitement for the projects I have planned for 2022, but with this excitement comes feelings of stress and pressure. And they come from ME - no one else but ME! This is the problem with being a strong, independent, over-achieving woman...

We start to think that being powerful and successful comes hand in hand with a certain level of worry and anxiety.

Why is this? Why don't we feel good enough if things haven't already happened? Why do we get great ideas then get caught up in imposter syndrome?

When these thoughts arise we get less done, causing us to struggle.

It can be so easy to feel overwhelmed at the thought of the journey ahead, but we need to lean into the trust. We've conceptualised it, we've imagined it, we just need to step through the process. Even from a less spiritual perspective, you'll see that things have happened that you once thought were impossible - you dreamt of them, you took the leap, they happened.

It's time to feel that certainty and take that quantum leap. 

Lean into trust and enjoy the feeling of calm that brings.

Planning season has commenced, meaning many of us are thinking ahead to the future. Like me, you may be feeling a little trepidation. As always, we have a choice - to go forward feeling overwhelmed and disappointed or proceed feeling hopeful and enthusiastic.

As a result, you might be wondering what your future planning should look like. In the past I have been very practical, writing down all my goals and ambitions in detail with numbers against them. There's nothing wrong with this - the divine masculine ability to take action. But more and more this year I have come to understand how key it is to lean into our divine feminine too - our feeling side.

Feeling goals is more important than doing goals.

So, my goals aren't going to be driven by what I need to do, but rather how I want to feel. 

How do you want to feel as you build income and make impact?

The universe is all about vibration and our feelings tap into this vibration. We have to tap into how it would feel to attain our goals. For me, I want to feel freedom, security and excitement.

When frustration sets in, it's so often due to a lack of clear results. But what about enjoying the process? Doesn't that count as a great result too?

It sounds so simple but if you are a driven, alpha woman like me, being told to 'enjoy the process' can translate as 'don't worry about the results' - and that's like a red rag to a bull! To us, the physical manifestation of success is non-negotiable and 'enjoying the process' can sound like a waste of valuable time!

There's nothing wrong with wanting to achieve top results. However, sometimes we prevent ourselves achieving the results we desire by holding on too tight and not taking the time to enjoy our journey to success.

When we are too goal-oriented, every step along the way feels like a chore and we can easily rush ahead into burnout.

By accepting every part of the journey is enjoyable and worthwhile, things shift. Your vibration raises, that sought after ease flows in, and - best of all - you can really start to love what you do!

We're told that progress comes slowly and steadily...but why? Why can't we make big shifts fast and, if we can, how do we do it?

I asked myself a big question about this and it changed everything.

Before I asked myself it and made my quantum shift I was trying all kinds of things for my business. I was influenced by so many different businesspeople and coaches, following their exact blueprint without checking it was aligned with my message and who I am. 

I was hedging my bets by doing ALL the things and soon I was overworked, overwhelmed and even got to the point of burn out. 

I was trying to quantum leap without the belief behind it.

Does this ring true to you too? 

If it does, don't be disheartened. I discovered that asking myself one simple question and making a choice to feel differently, unlocked a whole new level of ease and flow in my business.

My true message came to the fore - I knew my role was to allow other women the permission to step into flow and ease, be truly authentic and do what lights them up. And in order to do this, I had to be lit up too.

My message is my own experience and that is the same for you. 

Once this shift occurred, creating content was so easy. Ideas flowed from me. I saw the tangible effects too - my email open rates nearly doubled after I started writing from the heart, pouring my message into my emails. I got invited to speak on exciting new podcasts and, most importantly, new soul clients came to me.

This week I levelled up and it felt amazing...until it didn't!

As striving, over-achieving businesswomen, we are always chasing that next goal. We celebrate for a mere nanosecond before moving on to our next target. 

If we're not careful, we'll end up on a constant hamster wheel of achievement - always pushing for that next big win, but never celebrating it when we get there.

We want our juicy goals to stay just that, and not end up as dried up bits of chewing gum that we just can't enjoy.

So often we briefly celebrate our successes and then that familiar "yeah, but..." creeps in. Is it enough? Is it sustainable? Where do I go next?

Constantly trying to over prove to both others and ourselves is a real endemic problem, leading to us not celebrating our successes enough. But as we progress and strive we need to celebrate our achievements along the way. Sometimes we're just too eager for more when we need to appreciate the satisfaction of the now. 

Take a moment to celebrate yourself and let in the ease and flow that comes with acknowledging and enjoying your successes.

What's blocking you from getting more clients?

I'm not talking about practicalities like email lists and content, as important as they are - I'm talking about energy.

Perhaps in the past, you've experienced a bit of a dip where people weren't reaching out or you weren't attracting your soul clients. 

I certainly have!

I came from a very competitive industry where, rather than serving my clients, I serviced them. 

A lot was demanded of me - presenteeism was non-negotiable. 

When a client email popped up, or I saw their number flash up on my phone, it caused huge feelings of anxiety within me. 

As I leaned into my own self-development, this felt misaligned, and as I moved over to coaching, at first I still felt some anxiety when my clients reached out to me. 

Joyfully, I let go of that reaction because it wasn't based in the truth

 - which is that working with my clients is THE BEST part of being my own boss and running my own business.

In the same way, as a coach serving international clients, time management and scheduling can be tricky. 

At first I was excited to jump on client calls at 10pm at night, but as time passed I started to feel resentful. 

This affected my energy, stopping me from attracting new clients. 

By being honest about my non-negotiables that had to be worked around, my energy bounced back.

Today's episode comes to you on what is not only my birthday, but also the first anniversary of this Podcast!

Looking back over the past year I am thrilled with everything I have accomplished - however, at the same time, I feel like I haven't done enough. 

Why is this so often the case?! 

Why do we judge ourselves against specific criteria, rather than looking at the bigger picture? 

Such as the times we have pushed ourselves out of our comfort zones and overcome our fears in the quest to fulfill our passion for growing our heart-centered businesses. 

By not looking for the positives it keeps us in a place of low vibe energy - a total law of attraction no-no! 

This podcast has been so important to me. I set the intention, took the leap, did it messy, and guess what? 

I'm still here and loving it! I choose to record episodes as the inspiration strikes and to keep them short and snackable, so they fit into your busy days - and mine too! 

It has evolved alongside me too. 

Reaching burnout last spring left me in a place where I had to re-evaluate everything. I turned to spirituality, diving into book upon book, podcasts galore, and consuming all the knowledge I could about energy. 

As a certified Pranic Healer, I was no stranger to energy in general, but I had stopped short of bringing it into my business. 

This year has taught me the importance of bringing the 'you' into your business. 

Whilst making an impact and earning money is important, so is being lit up, and I needed to be reignited.

As I find my alignment, letting intuition and energy flow through me, my tribe is leaning towards me, and I am SO excited for the year ahead.

All too often we are afraid to do this - we keep quiet and hide so much of our uniqueness because of imposter syndrome and the fear of being judged.
