As winter begins and the air grows colder, we naturally seek the warmth of home and the company of friends and family whose company and love are encouragements amid the cold darkness of the season.

Yet, if we carefully reflect, we may see that the truest friend we have is God himself, the true and lasting source of every blessing. When we invite him to come into our lives, he offers a light that brightens even the darkest days.

When we ask God to come to us, and when we resolve to stay close to him, his presence inspires us to bring light and hope to others, especially those in greatest need.
