Can Christianity coexist with self-help culture? A question I cover in today’s podcast episode! 

Back in college, I was consumed by self-help culture and personal development content. I wanted to be the best version of myself, be the healthiest me I could be. This pursuit only led me farther away from Jesus and more and more self-centered. 

It turns out that self-help culture consequently creates a self-focused and self-driven mentality that often leads us away from the cross of Christ. While we can, in good-faith, have Biblical conversations about personal development topics, I think we should be careful how much time and energy we put into bettering ourselves.
