Gospel Spice | Awaken Delight in God through faith in Jesus Christ

Episode 3 -From a slave girl freed by her benevolent master, to a close look in the mirror, we can quickly come to terms with the fact that we are simply not the best masters for our own hearts and lives. When left to our own devices, we can easily mess things up big time. So, where do we turn? This begs the question of the trustworthiness of God Himself. This can be established on the basis of who God is, and what He has done. Using a Christian framework, we are looking at the four W's of God: His Worth, His Work, His World and finally, His Word. From the Westminster catechism's calling to "glorify God and enjoy Him forever", to Gospel Spice, we enter the quest of our lives. God's glory--our delight!

From freedom to love to glory to the Trinity, we embrace God's glory as our purpose and quest. Why is God's glory so central? The answer is rooted in the very identity and attributes of God, from light to knowledge to glory!

Episode 2 -This episode is the door to the spiritual culinary experience of intimacy with God through the lens of cultural awareness. Stephanie takes us with her on her trip to Europe, and tells us why the diversity of worship and spiritual expression within the church, is a blessing to enjoy and share. And then we extend the hand of friendship to our fellows in the faith on the pages of Scripture, as we begin to listen to what the very first Christians, all the way back in Acts, have to tell us, and how their own culture invites us deeper into worship of Jesus, the God-Man.

Life is too short for tasteless food.

Is staleness lurking in the pages of Scripture? Could the Christian faith prove spicier than you’ve experienced?

If you’re a spiritual foodie looking for a flavor explosion in your journey with God, Gospel Spice is your new secret ingredient. The entire Bible is seasoned with exotic Middle Eastern spiritual spices long lost to our twenty-first century Western palate. Follow Jesus and discover the original Jewish cultural flavors as He intended!

You and I are embarking on a journey that will take you to places in the Gospels that may feel very familiar. And yet, I suspect you might taste new flavors along the way. Or maybe your inquisitive spirit is leading the way as you gingerly approach the New Testament for the very first time. In that case, I envy you. There is nothing quite like the first time you taste what might become a favorite spice.

Spoiler alert: The Bible will enthrall our spiritual taste buds and will become our ultimate addiction. I pray we never recover. May this spiritual culinary experience transform us forever, from the inside out, for the better. That is gospel spice.
