In her role at UWNYC, Grace has championed the development of a Latine Studies Curriculum for New York City (NYC) schools. Latiné communities enrich the fabric of NYC, yet their narratives often remain sidelined. This gap leads to limited information making its way into K-12 curriculums, even though 40% of NYC’s students identify as Latiné or Hispanic. By advocating for this curriculum, Grace ensures students receive an authentic understanding, affirming NYC’s commitment to celebrating and educating its rich Latiné heritage.
