Dr. Chris Hardy takes a deep dive into the chemistry of the fats we consume in our daily lives. He goes over what makes a fat: saturated, polyunsaturated, and monounsaturated. We discuss the effect these different fats have on your health; think oxidation and free radicals.....and where to find them in your foods. Chris touches briefing on why saturated fats are not the devil, like many companies would like you to believe. We will be coming back next week with the facts on why that is the case. Chris mentions some additional resources to learn about what these oils do in your body and the history of how industrial oils became the dominant source of fats in food products.
