In this powerful and courageous episode of the Gravity Podcast, I sit down with Dr. John A. King as he shares his deeply personal story of surviving sexual abuse and the heroic journey he has taken toward healing.
Dr. King walks us through the framework that shaped his recovery and growth: Information, Revelation, Application, and Transformation. He explains how understanding the facts of trauma (Information) opens the door to deeper awareness (Revelation), which must be followed by intentional action (Application) in order to experience lasting change (Transformation).
This conversation is honest, vulnerable, and ultimately hopeful. It’s about confronting the past without being defined by it. It’s about doing the work. And it’s about choosing growth over silence.
Whether you are navigating your own healing journey or supporting someone else through theirs, this episode offers insight, courage, and practical direction.

In this powerful episode, I sit down with retired federal law enforcement leader Kemmi Saddler, whose life’s journey took her from high-risk international assignments to confronting trauma in deeply unexpected ways. Over a 26-year career as a Supervisory Special Agent with the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service, Kemmi served in war zones and volatile environments — yet the hardest battles she faced were the ones fought long after leaving the field.
We also talk about Nona’s Way — the intentional walk Kemmi is preparing to undertake along the Camino de Santiago with her dog Nona. This 780-kilometer journey is dedicated to honoring first responders still carrying invisible wounds, and remembering those who didn’t make it home. Through every step, they hope to elevate conversations about mental health, resilience, and holistic paths to recovery.
This episode is for anyone who has ever struggled with hidden burdens, questioned conventional healing, or wondered what comes next after service — to others and to self.
Tune in for an honest, heartfelt discussion about courage, vulnerability, and the many paths toward reclaiming joy.

In this week’s Momentum Monday, Chris tackles a topic that often stays in the dark—pornography—and the very real struggle that many face but few talk about.
Drawing from his own journey, Chris shares the mindset and practical changes that helped him break free from addiction. This episode isn’t about shame—it’s about awareness, ownership, and building a life aligned with your values.
If you’ve ever struggled with temptation, boundaries, or accountability, this conversation offers a simple, actionable framework to help you move forward.
1. Shift – Move the Boundary
It’s not just about avoiding pornography—it’s about raising the standard. Chris shares how redefining the boundary to avoid lustful consumption altogether changed the game.
2. Share – Bring It Into the Light
Secrecy fuels struggle. Honest conversations—especially with someone you trust—can break the cycle. For Chris, open dialogue with his wife became a powerful tool for accountability and freedom.
3. Surrender – Give It to God
Willpower alone isn’t always enough. In moments of temptation, surrendering through prayer creates space for strength, clarity, and peace.
Where in your life do you need to shift your boundaries, share your struggles, and surrender control?
If this episode resonated with you, share it with someone who could benefit from the message. And if you’re in a place of struggle—don’t stay silent. Take one step today toward freedom.

Pick up a copy of Echoes from the Street - A police officer's journey through trauma, recovery, and redemption. In Episode 225 of the Gravity Podcast, I sit down with Deputy Police Chief Alycia McKinney for a powerful conversation on three pillars of effective leadership: trust, accountability, and discipline.
We unpack what these words really mean inside an organization — not as buzzwords, but as daily practices that shape culture. Chief McKinney shares her perspective on how trust must be intentionally built, how accountability cannot just flow downward but must also rise upward, and how discipline is less about punishment and more about consistency, standards, and professional growth.

Success isn’t always about adding more to our lives. Sometimes the real progress comes from removing what gets in the way, replacing what no longer serves us, and renewing our commitments to the life we want to build.
In this Momentum Monday episode, Chris shares a simple but powerful framework for creating forward momentum: Remove, Replace, Renew.
First, he talks about removing friction from the habits we want to build. Often the difference between success and failure is something small. For Chris, that means laying out workout clothes the night before so the decision to train in the morning is already made. By eliminating obstacles, we make it easier to follow through on the commitments we care about.
Next, Chris discusses the importance of replacing unhealthy habits with healthier alternatives. Real change rarely happens by simply removing something from our lives. It happens when we intentionally fill that space with something better. Chris shares how he replaced alcohol with non-alcoholic beer, water, and soda water—small changes that support long-term health and performance.
Finally, the episode explores renewing our goals and commitments. Life changes, seasons shift, and sometimes our goals need to evolve with us. Renewing a goal might mean recommitting to it—or it might mean adjusting it into something smaller and more achievable. Progress doesn’t always require bigger goals; sometimes it requires more realistic, bite-sized ones.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or off track, this episode offers a simple reminder:
Remove what creates friction.Replace what holds you back.Renew your commitment to the life you want to live.

In Episode 223 of the Gravity Podcast, Chris sits down with Bonnie Rumilly and David Dachinger, hosts of the Responder Resilience Podcast, for a powerful conversation about healing, resilience, and the importance of supporting those who serve on the front lines.
Bonnie and David bring decades of experience working alongside first responders, both professionally and personally. Bonnie is a licensed clinical social worker, trauma therapist, and former EMT with more than two decades of service, dedicated to helping first responders heal from trauma and PTSD. David is a retired Fire Lieutenant and EMT who served more than 21 years in emergency services and now continues his mission supporting responder wellness through coaching, podcasting, and advocacy.
Together, they share their journey into podcasting, their passion for helping first responders build emotional resilience, and the lessons they’ve learned from interviewing hundreds of responders, clinicians, and thought leaders. This episode explores the realities of trauma exposure, the importance of peer support, and how storytelling can become a powerful tool for healing.
For first responders, leaders, and anyone committed to personal growth, this conversation is a reminder that resilience isn’t about avoiding hardship—it’s about learning to move forward with strength, purpose, and support.
