This week, Chris connected with author and law enforcement officer Mark Bouchard. Mark Bouchard has 18 years of law enforcement experience in Canada, with almost ten years on the Emergency Response Team (SWAT), where he is also an advanced care tactical medic. Mark is currently assigned to a full-time position in the RCMP's National Tactical Medicine Program, where he helps to lead a program of advanced care police medics. He also has many years of experience instructing mental health (R2MR), as a peer to peer support member, and part of the post critical-incident team (PSRT).
Mark also recently completed a master’s degree from Royal Roads University in leadership, with a research project focused on police culture and police officer mental health. Mark has combined his experiences and his research into a book called Setting My Sights on Stigma: Thoughts From an Injured Mind, which was released on Amazon in November. It is a combination of his experiences with his PTSD diagnosis, and the research that helped him to heal from his psychological injury.

This week, Chris saw his half-marathon plan unravel as he bonked between miles 6 and 7. What do you do in life when plan A falls apart? How about when plan B also fails? Chris brings perspective from his days in law enforcement. He talks about having a P.A.C.E. plan that will increase success during tough times.

This week, Gravity Podcast releases an episode first recorded for Blue Grit Radio. Podcast host Eric Tung asked fellow podcasters Chris Littrell and John Kelly to join him to discuss loss, struggle, and resiliency. This was a great conversation.
Eric later sent the episode to Chris and John and invited us to release this episode on our channels.

This week, Chris was confronted with a questionable triathlon training tip, to pee himself. Not just in the BIG race, but to practice peeing himself during training so that he would be able to do it in a race. Chris took this suggestion and bounced it off more experienced triathletes who gave him sound advice.

This week's Mighty Monday episode was inspired through a conversation with Blue Grit Radio (podcast) host Eric Tung. Eric shared with Chris that he was down in the dumps and took intentional action to feel better. Chris has been living this out over the past year and felt it was relevant for listeners.

This week, Chris is joined by Navy veteran and law enforcement officer, turned non-profit CEO Jordyn Jureczki. Jordyn's story includes twists and turns with alcohol, domestic violence, and suicidal ideation. It was at a jiu jitsu event when she met Warrior's Heart co-founder and CEO Josh Lannon who invited her to the Warrior's Heart jiu jitsu gym. Jordyn instantly felt connected to the warrior community, who eventually became part of her life line when she was at rock bottom. Through healing, Jordyn met her husband and started her position as CEO of Frontline Healing Foundation, a non-profit that raises money and helps veterans and first responders with out of pocket expenses for treatment.

The rat race. Climbing the corporate ladder. Keeping up with the Jones'. AND you can have it all...
These are all phrases that describe a similar phenomenon in western culture. Chris had two different sources that shared different thoughts that inspired this episode. We are stewards of the stuff and the time we have. Be a steward. Enjoy the stuff and the people and the time, but don't hold too tightly to any of it.
