I hope you are well and coping with the unusually cold weather. I appreciate Pepys’ diaries are not always easy to follow but I hope you are content that we are pushing on with them. I imagine it’ll take another year and a half to finish them, but what an endeavour! By then we will have completed Bede’s work, The Anglo-Saxon Chronicles, a Month in the Country, Scenes of a Clerical Life, Cranford, Under the Greenwood Tree and more. What joy!
