Formula 1 is officially back, and the Australian Grand Prix was a wet, chaotic, crash-filled race. From growing pains and bad strategy at Ferrari for Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, to six retirements due to crashes (Isack Hadjar, Liam Lawson, Gabriel Bortoleto, Fernando Alonso, Jack Doohan, and Carlos Sainz), we ended up with a race result we didn’t expect. Plus, McLaren showed continued strength with their car, as well as the return of Papaya Rules.
And, a moment of extreme empathy and sportsmanship was displayed by Anthony Hamilton, Lewis Hamilton's father, when rookie Isack Hadjar crashed into the wall during the formation lap. We talk about why it's ok to be emotional, why some emotions are still perceived as "bad" or "too emotional," and why kindness can be more important than competition.
Plus, we break down your questions, hot takes, and predictions for our next race in China. Buckle up while we recap the Australian Grand Prix!
