Join us on this special Father’s Day episode of Grief Street as we delve into a deeply personal narrative. Jordy's husband, Hank, the producer of Grief Street, bravely shares his journey through postpartum depression following the birth of their son. Hank candidly navigates the raw emotions of shame and guilt, but ultimately finds his way to hope and confidence through therapy, unwavering support from loved ones, and medication. We cannot begin to express our gratitude to Hank for his vulnerability. This taboo topic is not an easy one to talk about, especially on a public platform. A gentle Father’s Day to all - these holidays can be beautiful and celebratory, and can also feel heavy in grief for many.
Our goal is to destigmatize the conversation around postpartum depression, reminding anyone in the thick of it that you are not alone💕
If you have questions or reflections sparked by this episode, we invite you to connect with us on Instagram or via email. We want to hear from you and create a community for those experiencing postpartum depression.
Producer's note: extremely sorry for the audio quality in this episode (of course it's my own episode)... hopefully will be able to not replicate that again!

Take a walk with us down memory lane as we chat with our middle school bestie, Era Steinfeld!
In today’s episode we learn so much about Era’s experience as a trans woman living in Texas– navigating a world that is not set up for her best interests and safety, relationship changes as she came into her selfhood, and how grief is a major piece of her journey, even expressed in her drag artistry.
You’ll get a good sense of how silly the three of us were as preteens. Specifically Erica’s creepy collection of relics from middle school! You can’t make old friends, and that’s exactly how it felt chatting with Era. Enjoy this conversation about friendship, identity and the importance of community in grief.
