On August 28, 1984, Josef Fritzl asked his daughter Elisabeth to help him install a heavy door onto the entrance of an underground bunker and once the door was installed, Josef incapacitated her. When she woke up, she was alone and tied up in a soundproofed dungeon, where she would remain for the next 24 years of her life, a sexual slave to her sadistic, abusive captor. In this episode, Marina details the unfathomable situation that Elisabeth Fritzl survived at the hands of her own father.

On Christmas Eve, 1945, a fire broke out at the Sodder home while George, Jennie and 9 of their 10 children were sleeping inside.
