  • Season 2 | That's Annoying

    All I have to say is.....LOL. Being "desired" is not my bag and the attention it brings to me....*sigh* overwhelming sometimes, to say the least. In this episode, I share a recent event that disappointed me which leads me to reflect on continuing to be more aware of how people view me. CC a moment from high school that I didn't realize has had so much of an impact on me until recently.

    Back with episode 2 for this season. I have been in this odd place of feeling lost, it's been mentally draining me a bit.     Guess who is back!!!! Like she never left. Let's consider this season 2......for now. In this episode, I talk about a situation that made me feel hella uncomfortable. They say you grow the most being uncomfortable right? Eh, I guess. How ya'll feel about someone (who is not black) saying the N word? I questioned a lot here, one thing about it though....I am never in my life dimming my blackness to make others feel comfortable. Nah.

Growing up as an only child in a single parent household has taught me resilience & some learned behavior that sis isn’t too proud of. What have I learned? That shit happens, it’s all about how we maneuver afterwards. I’ll be sharing the good, the bad, the ugly….all the things that shaped me into me. Hopefully you feel me & take what resonates.
