John made an incredible journey from a small-town boy with a passion for nature to a celebrated warden with the California Department of Fish and Wildlife. He was a founding member of California's Marijuana Enforcement Team (MET), a unit developed to combat environmentally destructive criminal operations.

With a career spanning three decades, John shares his eclectic experiences, including the challenges and triumphs of leading high-risk operations, training special operation personnel, and being at the forefront of innovative sniper training programs. John opens up about his rendezvous with leadership and valor, earning him the Governor's Medal of Valor in 2007, and his notable contribution in dignitary protection details during the Obama administration.

John is also an accomplished musician, a relentless endurance athlete, a fervent hunter, and an avid outdoorsman. From soloing the Baja 500 race "Ironman" style to indulging in photography and video production, John is definitely living life to the fullest.
