Autoptic is back with the Gutter Boys, baby! Pete Faecke joins us once again to break down what to expect from the Autoptic 2021 Digital Festival, and we're starting things on a high note with special guest Jaime Hernandez to talk about his new art book, Queen of the Ring - Wrestling Drawings by Jaime Hernandez. To cut to the chase, we skipped out on news and shout outs for this week (don't worry, they'll return on the next main feed episode) to get down and dirty with Jaime about his love of pro wrestling, what made him decide to release his never-before-seen drawings to the public, and his thoughts on the current landscape of comics and cartooning. So don't be a pencil necked geek and miss out on this banger of an episode. Hit that play button, or we're dropping you through a stack of tables!
Jaime doesn't really have any social media, but it's not like his work is hard to find.

Blaaattaaaaaoooowww GUTTER BOYS returns with another bi-weekly dose of shop talk for you sick pain pigs. On this week's episode, we're joined by Belarusian cartoonist Gleb Melnikov who is the current artist on DC's Robin to discuss the toxicity of our city (of our city), his experiences as an international artist that worked his way up from small press to the big leagues, and what the future holds for Big Gleb in a post-DC world. We also touch on some news, a heaping of shout outs to our listeners who sent in their comics, and some hints at what you all can expect in the coming weeks from the boys.
Follow Gleb on Twitter @GlebMelnikov8 for his esoteric insights into the depraved world of Damien stans.

Gutter Boys. A bi-weekly podcast? A bi-curious podcast? A question for another episode. In the meantime, rev your small press engines as we zoom into another episode about this thing of ours. We're joined by special guest RJ Casey, former co-owner of Yeti press and editor at Fantagraphics and The Comics Journal, to talk about his career, his (temporary?) retirement from the comics business, and his passion for the medium.
You can follow RJ and check out his Chicago Bulls-themed art collection on Instagram @rjcaseywrites.

Like a basket of fish and chips, Gutter Boys is hot and in demand. And so, the saga continues as we deliver your bi-weekly fix of comics hooha and shop talk. Today's guest is Birmingham-based cartoonist and illustrator Michael Kennedy. His illustration work has been featured in The New Yorker, Wired, Medium, Adult Swim and NBC News and has comics published in McSweeney’s, Freak Comix 10, Tiny Splendour, Self Made Hero, Editions Presque Lune, Vault Comics, and The Smudge. We discuss the newest issue of his ongoing self-published series MINT, how he got into comics, his development as a creator, and what he hopes to accomplish in the near future. Don't let the brief intro fool you, this one is a banger.

Time for your bi-weekly Gutter Boys fix, sweaty. You know the drill! We go through a bit of news ( pests of course) and tons of shout outs, including a bunch of new comics that were sent from our grimy listeners. After the break, we're joined by LA-based cartoonist Gabriel Mason Howell to talk about their recent riso comic, Overshadowed By A Castle (Bred Press) as well as the challenges of grappling with the medium, leaving the Chicago small press scene to relocate with their spouse, the bizarre nature of fandoms, the future of tabling in a post-COVID world, plus much more!
