Jake and Jon break down the case of Jordon Earl Linde, 34, who escaped from a Park County Sheriff's Office detention officer. Linde stole his gun, threatened a nurse, stole the detention officers' vehicle, and was in flight pursued by a patrol unit. Linde was charged with robbery, assault escape and more and received a sentence of 59 years behind iron bars. You must wonder then, why today he is out in the community he threatened. Joining them to talk about it is a deputy who knows how rural policing works-- Deputy Jim "Dick" Payne of the Tarnell County Sheriff's Office, who's seen cases like this before.
Finally uniting a sworn officer, a corrections sergeant, and a 911 dispatcher, the entire sheriff's office is represented in this powerful podcast, except Cheryl in records. Take that, Cheryl! Just kidding, Cheryl chimes into talk about those dang pistol permits. Run a NICS check on the fun!
