In this episode, we explore the devastating consequences of a conflict between a husband (Dj Brownskin) and wife (Sharon) that ended in tragedy. In a seven-minute video that trended on social media, Sharon, in a fit of rage and desperation, ingested poison during the argument and succumbed to its effects soon after. We dive into the root causes of such extreme behaviour during conflicts (in relationships) and offer insights on how to prevent such situations.

Is there such a thing as healthy friendships? When we often speak of healthy relationships, we lean more toward romantic relationships. As the conversations on mental health grew, we tapped into familial relationships but do we ever think of the need for friendships to be healthy? Do we know what they could look like?
Jagero and I have been friends for the last 6 years, walking into the 7th. He and I sunk our hearts into this topic and painted a picture of healthy or toxic friendships. Does a healthy friendship for you, match our descriptions?

Fr. Nnaemeka is a Roman Catholic Priest and Missionary Oblate of Mary Immaculate, with an ingrained affinity for decolonial and indigenous theology. Fr. Ali is by far the first Catholic priest I've seen speaking out on the need to recontextualize Christianity to fit the African fabric, and I couldn't be more grateful that he made time for us to talk about it.

The episode was a podcast live recording in commemoration of women's day. In this episode, we explore the topic of women's digital rights and the challenges that women face in the digital world. We discuss issues like the root cause of online violence targeted towards women, who the most targeted type of woman is, and how best women can thrive in digital spaces without being silenced. The expert panel included Abaas Mpindi, the CEO of the Media Challenge Initiative and Bobina Zulfa, a Researcher from Pollicy.
Bobina emphasizes the need for a system change - governments to create laws and policies that protect women's rights online and ensure that they have equal access to the digital world; and Abaas calls for us to be more mindful in the way we communicate. To assess the weight of what it is we intend to communicate before we publish it. "...For me it's just the humanity that we need..." he said.

For this 97th episode, our guest is none other than Nandala Mathew. Mathew is one of the first Ugandan professional dancers, I got to know. Forget the side gigs that you do with your talent. Nandala, as you will hear in our conversation, knew from the get-go that being a dancer is the dream to chase and like any dedicated achiever, he pursued nothing else other than that.
In this episode, Nandala re-emphasizes our 2023 theme - Be intentional like never before. If you're the kind of person who acknowledges the fact that progress is not always a straight curve, this episode is everything you have longed to listen to.
