Sometimes, when we experience a setback, it's easy to feel like we're losing something important. However, we'll explore the idea that what appears to be a loss can actually be a sign that things are aligning for our benefit. 

Through this conversation, we hope to help you detach from the negative emotions associated with loss and embrace the idea that everything is coming together for your greater good.

Today, we're gonna talk about letting go. It's a brand new year, and it's the perfect time to usher in new beginnings. Alexandra Elle, the author of After the Rain powerfully affirms and welcomes the ending of all things that have run their course. She no longer holds on to what needs to be released. 

By releasing what needs to be let go, we free ourselves to move forward and create space for new opportunities and experiences. We hope we all  find the courage to open up ourselves to new experiences, new relationships, and new opportunities that can help us achieve our goals and live a more fulfilling life.

WHAT TO LISTEN FOR: 

How to know when to let go of things that need to be released? [2:09] 

• Feeling stuck and repeating cycles.

• We often resist change even when we feel nudged to do something different

• Plateaus can be a sign that it's time to make a change.

• No growth, challenge and reciprocation

Starting over as frequently as you need to  [06:32] 

• Start over as frequently as needed for personal growth.

• We shouldn't commit to routines or behaviors that aren't working, even if it's the beginning of a new year or month.

• We should avoid delaying necessary changes and form healthier habits.

• Trial and error is acceptable when introducing new behaviors and habits.

Letting go of “Limiting Beliefs” [10:42]

• Letting go of limiting beliefs requires a new level of oneself

• It can be uncomfortable to let go of comfortability and limiting beliefs

• Holding onto shame and limiting beliefs can prevent one from reaching the next level of growth

• Let go of things that no longer serve a purpose.

Managing is just a loss [15:25]

• Having faith and trust in ourselves

• We all love to have a level of control on things

• Letting go and learning to trust God and his ways

• Freeing up some space for newer things to come in

Knowing when to move forward [29:16] 

• It's time to move on from a situation or relationship that no longer serves you.

• Communicating your decision to leave is a duty to the other person involved, rather than just disappearing without explanation.

• Staying in a situation for too long can lead to resentment and hate, which can be avoided by closing the chapter in a respectful and mature manner.
