Free Spirited Retards of the World, RISE UP!
This week, the one and only Dr. Ben Braddock joins the program. Ben is a twitter anon, esoteric health influencer, and commissioning editor of rw dissident magazine im1776. He joins Poolhouse for this ultra-cosmic discussion that covers a wide array of touchpoints, and is centered on themes of managed decline, spiritual warfare, and the true meaning of the American spirit. It is a meeting of the minds, resulting in the type of classic backklash content that you will not find anywhere else.

Producers’s Note: This episode was recorded on 22 March 2024, the night before Buckingham Palace released the statement from Kate Middleton on her health. We have left the pre-recorded perspectives on the Kate Middleton mystery from our hosts intact all the same. Poolhouse says: “this changes nothing” and also, “may Queen Meghan make no haste in ascending to her place as rightful ruler of Britain.”
0ddette, aka Detty (or “Dettylicious” as Poolhouse is prone to calling her these days) has become a Backklash institution. One of Pool’s longest mutuals, Detty has established herself as a niche posting queen of all things esoteric, intriguing, mysterious, and absurd. When Detty peaced out from Twitter for Lent season, many anons were left frantically wondering what had happened–but fear not! We are pleased to present The Return of the Dett in this banging episode of HCTB.
Poolhouse and Detty unlock insights and provide truly original analysis of our present moment through the lens of “spiritual warfare.” They discuss the Royals, F1, the Poolhouse theory of Product, Detty’s twitter hiatus and more, before diving into a discussion on the profundities of spiritual sacrifice, the affirmative power of acknowledging the existence of evil forces, the spiritual awakenings revealed during the pandemic, and the plight of the average person in the face of “Future Shock.”
As Poolhouse says, the time is well nigh for the pro-cosmic forces on this planet to “enhance the trance.” But first, you gotta….turn up the strobe.

HCTB is pleased to present this landmark episode featuring one of them prestige Big Accounts™ that you know and love: Aimee Terese.
She is an icon, a legend, a firebrand, a phoenix, and soon to be…..mother to the lineage of the House of Pool??
But before PH and AT get too far, Poolhouse must confront Aimee with an important question, one he has never had to ask another guest before: would she mind unblocking him on Twitter, pretty please?
Once old (one-sided, entirely parasocial) scores are settled, this dream duo is freed up to engage in topics traversing everything from the philosophical to the political to the personal: Where do thoughts come from, and why do manic social media mavens like Aimee Terese and Poolhouse have so many of them? Where can one draw the line between online persona and actual person? Why did Poolhouse once think Aimee was “weak” on covid? Does Aimee find Poolhouse’s impression of her accent insulting?
DNC media-market machinators are dragged as our host & guest recount some storied lore. Poolhouse then tries to turn Aimee antivaxx, before asking if he can sire her offspring.
Pop your addies, pound those (sugar free) Red Bulls, and dial down that playback speed if you must: this is a high octane, delightfully energetic episode for the ages.

- frequently accused of tweaker / meth addict / manic personality
- default tendency toward verbosity
- bombastic Twitter persona is not a put-on
- brain move quickly
- doesn’t mind being annoying to make a point
- trust in the Vibes
- can has a little speed as a treat

HERE COMES THE BACKKLASH FLIPS THE SCRIPT ON BRET EASTON ELLIS IN BOMBSHELL NEW LIVE EPISODE
In an enthralling new episode of HERE COMES THE BACKKLASH – the podcast renowned for its deep dives into esoteric cultural topics, news, and events with an unmistakable edge – your host Poolhouse and special guest co-host Q from the influential Thots & Prayers podcast, have joined forces with to cast a new light on the iconic author, Bret Easton Ellis.
The episode explores the author's work not just as literary talent but as a cultural phenomenon, framing Ellis as an avatar–and possibly architectural magus–for the disaffected, Chtonic zeitgeist of the information age.
From his kabalistic prose to the esoteric and darkly energetic themes that permeate his narratives, the hosts dissect Ellis’s ability to reflect the dead-eyed dark energy of the abyss, mirroring the culturally Satanic nuances of the MTV generation and beyond. Ellis's work is also analyzed for its profound literary impact, and the mysterious aura that surrounds his time at Bennington College.
Further delving into Ellis's personal life, the episode touches upon his complicated relationship with a millennial ex-boyfriend, navigating through the complexities and allegations that have on occasion made headlines–but more often, seem to have evaded the spotlight.
With lively discussions and insights from previous Backklash guests, the podcast pushes the edge of discursive boundaries while it maintains a balanced viewpoint, ensuring a respectful, yet critical examination of Ellis's influence and legacy–unlike anything else you are likely to hear.
Poolhouse and Q offer listeners a unique perspective on Bret Easton Ellis, encouraging a reevaluation of the narratives about his life and his works that we’ve come to accept. Tune in to join the conversation and explore the murky depths of the dark and creative mind of a literary genius.

The Justified Ancients of Mu Mu. The Timelords. K Foundation.
The KLF.
This enigmatic group assumed a number of names in their relatively short heyday from 1987-1992, when dramatically the KLF left the music industry , deleted their back catalogue of records, and literally set fire to the profits they had made–$1 million British pounds.
What possessed the KLF to do that?
Who are the KLF, and what’s it all about?
Are they (shudder) performance artists? rave pioneers? a pop group? Pranksters? Magicians? agents of chaos?
Oso Blanco and Poolhouse, co-hosts of the acclaimed bi-weekly internet radio program I Was There™, set forth on a journey to retrace the legend of this historic and sublimely influential group most notoriously known as the KLF–2 disaffected pop musicians who changed the trajectory of music FOREVER, and the myriad of ways in which this was done.
To understand what the KLF is REALLY about requires an intense schizo-affective sperg-out, a stress testing of the limits of history and trivia and myth and mystique, in a way like only Poolhouse and Oso can perform for you.
To know why the KLF burned a million pounds, and deleted their records, and got sued by ABBA, and what that all has to do with usury, the Illuminati and..Marduk.. requires a soul sonic historiography like none other, one that spans 20,000 years and touches everything from acid house to crank religions to Tammy Wynette.
This re-telling weaves transcends “Behind the Music” style biography. By blending life experience, pop criticism, esoteric interpretations, and paranoid American folklore, this program creates an experience for you to get lost in.
This is much more than “the KLF story.” This is the tale of two pairs of men–Rockman Rock & Kingboy D, Oso and Pool–and their respective struggles to balance the forces of order and chaos as they delve into the mysteries of ritual, performance, and creation, in search of redemption and escape from the machinations of the shadowy forces who dwell beneath the political horizon.

Calling all romantics, dreamers, and fools–this episode is just for YOU!
What does it mean to search for yourself? What does it mean to belong to something? Do we often think we are searching for one of those things, when in fact we are actually looking for the other?
In this episode, Poolhouse introduces you to Chris, esoteric bro, absurdist poster, and enigma. Chris is a former internet anon who went by InTheConcepts.
Chris and Poolhouse first interacted when Poolhouse was operating under one of his many aliases after he had posted something about Green Day. Chris, a consummate punk fan, reached out, and a brief and bizarre friendship began (and was eventually transferred to one of Poolhouse’s more notorious accounts).
Chris’s archive has vanished from the web, but while he was active, Chris’s out of context style of non-sequitur posting absolutely captured Pool’s imagination. Without knowing a thing about Conceptual Chris, he understood intrinsically that this young man was a fellow rider of the mythical orange vibeshift.
Just before he deactivated for good, Pool was able to connect with Chris to arrange this conversation–and WHAT a convo it is. In classic backklash style, our host and guest cover everything and nothing. Whether discussing the compulsive need to notate ones life, to the deep-seated yearning of the soul to know itself, and w, this episode crackles and pop with insightful observations and sparkling wit.Chris even delivers a lovely soliloquy on the rewarding quest for oneself that actually left Poolhouse speechless.

Charon from Heaven is clearly a kindred spirit of our beloved DJ POOLHOUSE. Charon, a “bitchy millennial goth” and BPD art MILF, has a poster’s wit that embodies a sense of mischief and revelry with the stylish sensibilities of an aging 1940s Hollywood glamorpuss who is about to heading into the studio to cut a kitschy disco record. She’s the kind of girl who won’t tell mom if the babysitter’s dead, as long as get the dishes done.
Charon recently posted about her substack piece on “The Way That I Feel” by Adrian Gurvitz, an obscure funky 70s deep cut bop that was appreciated both Poolhouse and Charon alike. Charon was already on Poolhouse’s shortlist of Potential Future Guests, and he rightly understood their shared love for Gurvitz’s rare disco cut as an absolute sign that she was meant to be invited into the Backklash Extended Kinomatic Universe.
As we do around here, this episode has a little bit of everything. First we meet Charon, a discerning midwestern antivax art & literary enthusiast, former grindcore impresario, and den mother/podcast co-host to two sweet wiggers.
Philosophical questions are wrestled with, as host & guest unpack what it means to live according to your values, especially when they don’t align with a libtardcentric, covidian paradigm that is subscribed to by your peers…how Charon manages to be based and still be beloved by scene bros… do MILFs actually have to be moms.. was the Phantom of the Opera a f—gg-t, and more. Mid-journey, Charon & Pool unlock an impromptu, kaleidescopic disco history jam session, before Charon turns the tables on Pool and pins him down on the Octolectics of it all, his favorite producers, and the divine power of DANCE.
Think you can you keep up? Of course you can–you’re a backklashista, not some AP history flunky.
So get in loser, we are setting the Poolhouse starship on cruise control, and drifting away to the Heavenly disco that exists beyond all space and time, in a Terpischorean moment of transcendent bliss, in the realm that exists beyond Beyond…

The world that birthed Man Parrish, the NYC underground (of the late 70’s - early 1980s) has long been a source of great fascination for me. The high octane, bodyrocking sound of 80s electro is truly a source of power and inspiration. Man Parrish is amongst the greats, a godfather of contemporary dance music culture. This alone makes him a fitting guest for backklash, but it was something more specific that brought him to The Unsilencing, our mini-series devoted to highlighting the secret histories of 1980s gay men’s health crisis.
In Tim Lawrence’s epic tome, Love and Death on the New York Dance Floor, Man Parrish gave an account of an insidious vaccination campaign that targeted gay men in the late 1970s, with seemingly tragic outcomes. This anecdote has been rattling around in the back of Pool’s mind since he read it, and became the impetus for him reaching out to Mr. Parrish for this interview in late December 2023.
Joined by The Unsilencing collaborator / researcher Nick Petosky, Man Parrish brings to life the electric underworld of late 1970s/early 1980s NYC, shining light on the dark side of disco that is not always told in the nostalgic histories of the period. Man shares his experiences as well as his reactions to Nick’s groundbreaking research, as this trio explores the shadowy roots that form the source of the plague mindset that society finds itself in today.
This episode is a raw look into the past, but one that is crucial for making sense of our present reality. The tragic loss of so many men has precluded this history from being more widely known…until now. Bursting from out of the shadows, in defiance of death’s shadowy grip, comes this time-traveling juggernaut of an episode.
This is the Unsilencing.

This percolating, super-sized banger of an episode has EVERYTHING: Sexlectics™, (some!) Octolectics, media market demystification, the tea on Hollywood blood libel parTies, a little sermonizing here, a manifesto for Takecels there, **original raps** and so. much. more. Last October, shortly after conflict in Gaza erupted into new levels of tension, Poolhouse and Detty teamed up for a live Twitter Spaces conversation to provide their unique and cutting edge analyses.
A few months later, how does their coverage hold up? While others were breathlessly predicting world war 3 and imminent destruction, PH and the Dett were more reasoned and incisive. Listening back now, it is so easy to see why these two draw so much ire from the nefarious Deep State.
