  • Ep. 48: WPOOL-AM feat. Detty [@0ddette]

AN EMERGENCY BROADCAST OF HOPE FROM THE WPOOL-AM BROADCAST ALERT SYSTEM! Fan fav Detty literally calls in to reunite with Poolhouse for this special broadcast. Five Eyes tried to thwart their recording, but Poolhouse simply cannot allow a moment to go to waste or grow too dull. From the remote Backklash Studios East (a closet somewhere on the eastern edges of the Empire State), comes this very special episode of HCTB, recorded Thursday evening (Jan. 11th) They sermonize, harmonize, and evangelize (mostly on behalf of F1). Together, they form a talk-radio dream who can do it all: news, sports (F1), finance, lifestyle, spirituality, and late-night schizo radio. And they do it as only the two of them can! Tune in for this special message of hope, inspiration, and insight that is simultaneously grounding and wonder-inducing. You are listening to to the perennially cosmic sounds of…WPOOL-AM, only on the poolhouse network.

  • Ep. 47: COSMIC TWINK SHOWDOWN feat. MAC [@bigmac_mccarthy]

Poolhouse is not only a renowed and beloved time-traveling deejay and internet podcast sensation, but he is also a KINOSTIC PRACTITIONER on the side. It’s not something he likes to brag about, but he’s healed countless celebrities, living and dead. nbd.

“Big” “Mac” McCarthy (or “MacMacMacThatMac” as Poolhouse refers to him) is a noted poster, rock musician, writer, producer, podcast host, comic genius, community college scholar, and jack of all trades. He is a Real Man™, a True Homie™, lovable goofball, and pure-hearted Canadian.

Poolhouse knew it was inevitable that he and Mac would sync up on the air eventually, but when he learned that his friend had recently experienced a dire astral encounter with Poolhousian nemesis and OG “Cosmic Twink” (Mac’s coinage) Marc Almond of Soft Cell, he knew he had to intervene. Sometimes you must fight fire with fire: it takes one Cosmic Twink to defeat the supernal prowess of another.

Will Poolhouse be successful in purging Marc Almond’s demonic nut from Mac’s soul? Find out in this extraordinarily breathtaking episode of HERE COMES THE BACKKLASH.

Along the way, PH and Mac talk about heartfelt white guy guitar music, the politics of punk rock scenes, Taylor Swift’s occult prowess, bad trip safety tips, and whether Jake Gyllenhaal is real or not.

What happens when an earnest Leonic Northern cowboy rocker meets a Leo-coded Sagittarian maniac DJ? Buckle up, cowpokes, for another backklash banger.

  • Ep. 46: ORANGE VIBE CANARY feat. Geotitties [@suchrash]

Poolhouse had but one command for his lovely and sage guest, GEOTITTIES of the The Great North, please bring 3 records before DJ POOLHOUSE, and he will provide you with a selection from the record collection of his heart. But this was just a playful gimmick, a clever ruse for his real mission: to crack open the brilliant nut that is the mind of Geo, and squeeze out as much of those sweet Geo juices as he possibly could.

Remote viewers, be prepared for your cup is about to runneth over. Poolhouse and Geo muse on the improvisational nature of life, the spellbinding power of The Science™, the art of boxing, the athleticism of creativity, vibe canaries, wielding the eternal source of all things, and of course, that backpack tweet.

  • Ep. 45: EVERYONE LOVES A CHRISTMAS F----T feat. KB [@Goldentoothed]

Just prior to Christmas, Poolhouse was joined by his dear friend, and America’s Favorite BritDad, KB Goldentooth for this electrifying conversation. In this discussion on Gnostics™ and gnosis, KB slyly turns the tables on Poolhouse somewhat (after all, nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition) to unpack why he has at times used the G-word to describe his spiritual beliefs. What exactly is a Gnostic™, and why are they antagonized so frequently by “trad” Christians of the online right? Can one be aligned with the mission of Jesus Christ while officially being defined as a heretic by the Church? And what does any of that have to Poolhouse’s viral post this past autumn about homosexuality and the early Church?

Who knows, really! But KB demonstrates precisely why he’s America’s Favorite BritDad as he skillfully guides this provocative, truly unparalleled conversation. But first, the boys unpack the recent tension over Gaza–Poolhouse explains why worrying about World War 3 isn’t really worth it, while KB provides a strategy for re-redpilling yourself should you happen to get caught in a psyop. OH! and also, KB (Irish™) and Pool (Self-Loathing™ Irish) prepare to join the Hibernian conspriacy.

  • Ep. 44: DON'T EVEN ASK feat. @fitnessfeelingz

When someone alleges antisemitism, what do they really mean? Are they alleging a hateful bias toward members of a religion? Toward members of an ethnic group? Both? Neither? What does it mean to be described as a bigot toward a group as diverse and historically complicated as the Jewish identity?

Last week, in a breathtaking act of defiance against American values and a slap in the face to the First Amendment, the criminal 117th Congress of the United States passed a resolution that equates “anti-Zionism” with antisemitism. Or, put another way, according to Congress, to critique or to disagree with the political ideology of Israeli nationalism is the same thing as hatred of all Jewish people.

How did we get here? Well, I can think of no better person to help me unpack this madness than the esteemed MyFitnessFeelingz aka Fitz.

Following the last visit from beloved internet intellectual and hero of the pod MyFitnessFeelingz, there was quite a bit of controversy. To my astonishment, I received allegations of antisemitism from leftist conspiracy researchers. The subject of Jews and Judaism was not mentioned once in that program, however, due to the mere fact that we discussed some works by Michael A Hoffman–who has written books critical of Judaism in the past, although we did not discuss that work in the episode–this was enough to label me an “antisemite.”

It has long occurred to me that charges of antisemitism have been often leveled in bad faith, long before it had happened to me. If we cannot make critiques of powerful institutions–including Zionism, the Israeli lobby, or Jewish financial networks–lest we be smeared as “antisemitic,” where does this leave us as a society? Before we can even unravel the tangled politics of "the Jewish question,” we had to go full Matt Walsh on ‘em, because I really, really am trying to understand: what the heck even is a Jew, anyway??

  • BACKKLASH: THE UNSILENCING | Eyewitness #2: Tony's Story

BACKKLASH: THE UNSILENCING is a series devoted to uncovering stories and voices from eyewitnesses and whistleblowers that support an alternative narrative surrounding the AIDS crisis.

In this episode, Nick Petosky and Poolhouse sit down with Tony, a NYC native and survivor of the HIV/AIDS crisis. Tony’s story is one of survival, strength, and triumph. Each anecdote he shares is instructive, as he dripping with a type of wisdom that only can be attained through perseverance in the face of near-certain death.

Like our previous guest, Ed, there were numerous times where it seemed like Tony would not in fact persevere. And yet, he is here with us today against the odds. Tony shares numerous episodes from his vibrant life as a New Yorker that will take us from Village discos to Wall Street and everywhere in between. This is very much a story about the Times as much as it is about Tony’s life that you are certain to find thought-provoking, poignant, and inspirational.

  • Ep. 43: SIBERIAN KNIGHTS VOL. I & II feat. ANNA KRIVOLAPOVA (@AnaKrivolapova)

There are vibeshifts, and then there are auraquakes. Mythic poster, published author, and oracle of the zeitgeist Anna Krivolapova joined Poolhouse for this EPIC state of the orange-vibeshift summit.

Late summer 2023, Anna published her first collection of fiction. Entitled Incurable Graphomania and published through APOCALYPSE CONFIDENTIAL, her debut has been received with a swarm of buzz and growing cult acclaim.

Anna’s style is both accessible and cryptic, with elements of the absurd and the supernatural injected into portraits of the mundane and the everyday. Her storytelling is remarkably fresh; her fix on the yarns she spins is both perceptive and precise.

The end result is Krivolapova’s kaleidoscopic world, one which is both familiar yet alien, where the unremarkable and the uncanny playfully coexist to color and serve her incisive commentary on the culture.

In an already-legendary episode, Anna and Poolhouse immerse themselves in an effervescent, free associative journey to the underside of the 1960s and back. Along the way, Anna discusses her debut collection + shares some thoughts on writing and style, before they peer behind the moldy masks of countercultural institutions such as the Joans (Didion and Baez), Richard Brautigan, and the Diggers.

This endlessly unfolding, ultra-cosmic affair will illuminate and CONFOUND you, as AK+PH dissect parapolitical celebrity power couples, CPT vs RPT, and then uncover a sinister urban conspiracy at the center of America’s citie–sHome of the Brave…and the Whopper(??). Anna reveals her favorite president, Poolhouse’s retardation becomes infectious, and there is an epochs-in-the-making moment for the true heads: our intrepid vibecruisers reveal the existence an archaic and immaculate order (the Black Hebrew Israelites, obviously. or maybe the Moors. but for the record, both Anna and DJPH disavow of any knowledge of the Siberian Knights).

  • Ep. 42: WE HAVE TO GO BACKK feat. Dusty [@faustiantulpa]

As eagle-eyed remote viewers of the program are keenly aware, that Poolhouse has a tendency to reference TV’s LOST (2004-2010). He has compared his little gang of internet misfits and other assorted bandits to the survivors of Oceanic Flight 815, the fictional plane in the show.

Poolhouse literally seems to thinks he’s living it? But have we made it to the Island…or are we still on the flight??

Joined by intrepid anon and internet dad (NOT a woman!), and LOST super-fan Dusty Poolhouse does what he does best–takes the audience on a journey with the purpose of getting LOST!

You don’t have to be a LOST megafan like PH and Dusty–who, according to legend, posts only in accordance with the mystical LOST numbers–or even a viewer of the show to enjoy this ep. As Dusty and Poolhouse discuss, the lessons from LOST are universal, and particularly appropriate to these strange times in which we find ourselves.

Is LOST relevant? What can it tell us about our present moment? Is LOST a flat earth program? And what about that ending?

Plus, Poolhouse gets to the bottom of Dusty’s @ and an unexpected calamity leads to an impromptu discussion about the true physicality of our cosmos. Take your seat, your captains here at Backklash Airways cordially welcome you aboard the most important flight of your lives. Join us while GET LOST…
