It's Episode 28, and it's Part 2 of our experimental concept! Last week we heard 3 stories that functioned as Part 1s, this week we tell the 3 stories that function as Part 2s! First, we give you an appetizer as we discuss the joys of grilling. Then, Cody tells us about a classic British judge who was as ruthless as he was jokey, JackJohn tells us about yet another irritable small Italian man who plotted an assassination, and Alex tells us about a burglar whose prison escape prowess made him a London folk hero and challenged the authority of crime kingpin Jonathan Wild.

We've had a lot of fun on Here's a Guy in at least 22 of our 26 episodes so far. But here's a question I'm sure has been burning in everyone's minds: when will the show take strides forward as an artistic product? The answer, folks, is apparently Episode 27. That's right: this week, we bring you a new experimental concept. Well, actually first we talk about holiday treats and white trash delicacies. But then! All three topics this week serve as Part 1s of two-part tales. They'll still be separate guys, but the respective stories will intersect. As it turns out, all three this week are some level of depressing in some way, from a perpetrator of both a treasonous plot and a shocking large-scale witch hunt in 17th Century England, to a remarkably tragic Austrian empress, to a ruthless crime lord in old-time London who successfully became a leader on both sides of the law. What wild characters will these three encounter? Will there be any poetic justice? We'll find out in Episode 28!
Titus Oates- 28:17
Empress Elisabeth of Austria- 1:23:55

Folks, it's baseball season once again. We love baseball here at Here's a Guy. How much? So much, we decided to say "to hell with creativity" and do a special baseball-themed episode again. But this time, it's even better, because we're joined by very special guest and friend of the show John Fleming of St. Louis Bullpen/Viva el Birdos! Isn't that exciting! We start things off with our 2022 MLB season preview, only 5 days late. Pretty good by our standards. I also make Jack share his most painful Marlins moments, because I hate him. Then, it's the latter half of a six-pack of baseball topics. Alex discusses a 1903s outfield prospect whose career ended via an absurd set of circumstances on an airplane, John shares the story of a bookish old-school pitcher who bailed out his friend Babe Ruth on more than one occasion, and Cody then brings us home with a long-awaited topic, Brian Cole, baseball's greatest "what could have been" story.

Holy cow, it's episode 25! That's a quarter of a way to 100! And our episodes are twice as long as a normal podcast so it's almost like we're halfway there! We're killin' the game in 2022, as they say. (Do they?) In this instant classic (is it?) we discuss all of our eventful Saturdays. Spoiler: JackJohn did something stupid with a puzzle and Alex made Cody watch/review Wrestlemania. Then, for our wildly popular "guys" segment, JackJohn tells us about a lesser-known founding father with a wild personal life and an even wilder demise. Alex follows that with the story of America's most obnoxious geologist. Cody then brings us home with the strange and spooky tale of Rob the haunted doll. Enjoy!

Hello! Hola! Bonjour! Guten tag! Ciao! Zdravo! Hallo! (Dutch for "hello") Here's a Guy is back, and this week we're culturing ourselves with a trio of topics from the lovely continent of Europe. But first, we get back to friendship lore with stories about our friend's treacherous apartment and the classic pastime of "tweetin' at Seacrest." Then we hear tales of a young Dutch woman who joined a resistance cell during WWII and slayed countless Nazis, the magnum opus of a French-Austrian parachute enthusiast with a chip on his shoulder, and a Finnish ski soldier's incredible Fear & Loathing-style adventure.

We have returned after a week off, and oh boy are we on one. We start things off by discussing a weird spam text, new Indianapolis Colts QB Matt Ryan, and two fantastic listener emails, always a blast. Then, Cody tells us about a scientist who got way too into bringing ancient organisms back to life but found a fun use for them, Jack tells the story of a British banker who lied constantly but got away with an impressive amount, then Alex honors Public Defense Day with a rant-heavy segment about the ordinary man charged with burglary who dared to stand up for himself in court- and in doing so guaranteed an important constitutional right to all Americans. From weird science, white collar crime, and serious critiques of the legal system, this one has it all!
Raul Cano- 18:57
Nick Leeson- 46:03

(movie trailer guy voice) In a world where Here's a Guy returns for Episode 22...that's pretty much all I have for that bit. Anyway, this was a fun show. We start things off by discussing the impending parachute spider invasion, naming our clown of the week, and reading a listener email from our dear friend Pookie. Then, 3 very different topics all interesting in their own ways. In our first ever HaG sequel, Cody follows up his topic from episode 8 with a different old timey baseball player, this time one who suffered an unfortunate incident that changed baseball for the better. Then, Jack tells us about the many misadventures of NFL legend and notorious shithead Adam "Pacman" Jones. Finally, Alex delivers on his promise from last week by sharing the story of an incredible, pioneering, heroic woman who invented investigative journalism as we know it- oh, and followed it up by circumnavigating the world.

Pacman Jones- 43:51
Nellie Bly- 1:25:30
For Episode 21, we return with yet another of our highly popular theme episodes (at least we assume, nobody has ever said one way or the other). In particular, this is one that has been requested before and we've been hinting at for a long time. March is Women's History Month, and in honor of that, instead of Here's a Guy, we have Here's a Gal! That's right, for the first time, all 3 of our topics are women! Fittingly, these topics run the gamut from heroic, to badass, to downright strange- and the end result is among our most raucous episodes yet. After getting the discussion of our fun dudes weekend out of the way (oops) JackJohn kicks us off with a heroic nurse and military officer who wouldn't let anything prevent her from helping people, not even being a POW. Then, Alex tells us about Sylvester Stallone's weird mom Jackie and her many esoteric beliefs, one of which is particularly fun. Finally, Cody regales us with the many fun adventures of rebellious White House kid Alice Roosevelt.

Ohhh baby it's Thursday. That means it's Here's a Guy release day. I'm certain your calendars are all marked appropriately. Every Wednesday night you can barely sleep knowing that the new Here's a Guy drops in the morning, and every Thursday morning you wake up excited to find out who the 3 Guys are for the week. I'm sure this is how it happens and not that you're incidentally reminded when one of us tweets about it and you listen out of pity. Of this I am certain. This week we reward your loyalty with an episode that, at the conclusion, we can best describe as "zany." We begin with a discussion of our favorite things about the zoo, followed by offering our critical support and solidarity to notorious obese bear Hank the Tank as he is persecuted by thug California authorities. Our hearts are with you, Hank. Next, we break some ground with our first animal topic, the many adventures and scandals of Ol' Rip, the most famous lizard in Texas history. After that comes two more wacky tales, from a freak scientist who has tried to turn himself into a cyborg with disturbing levels of success to an old timey inventor and the glorious debut of his coal-powered motorcycle. A true can't-miss episode.

The fellas are back this week with more fascinating tales to help cure your February blues. We start things off with a somewhat-restrained rant about the villainy of the Los Angeles Rams, plus a much more pleasant conversation about our favorite Jackass moments. Then, Jack tells us about the life of the world's tallest man Robert Wadlow, Alex discusses the Iowa convicted murderer who appealed to be released from a life sentence because he had briefly legally died, and Cody brings us home with the wacky tale of a British hotel owner so hilariously rude to the Monty Python cast that it resulted in a BBC show parodying him. Plus lots of other fun intermittent discussions!
