February rolls on, and we have a truly bonkers episode for you all this week. Throughout the episode we discuss a variety of topics, from our dream dinner guests, Hitler being really stupid, random athlete connections, Mallard Fillmore, and if Tacko Fall played baseball. For our guys this week, first up, Alex goes completely berserk trying to explain the many antics and public stunts of the official Wizard of New Zealand. Then, Cody tells us a story of a failed acid rock musician turned successful scientist turned subject of a strange disappearance. Finally, JackJohn brings us home with the story of a self-made and incredibly successful Spanish spy who repeatedly made the Nazis look like the idiots they were. (Also be sure to check out the plugs in the episode for our upcoming D&D project with former guest of the show Pookie as well as friend of the show Darrell's new YouTube channel).

The fellas are back for a winter storm edition of Here's a Guy. How is their sanity holding up? Well, the episode is 2 hours 20 minutes long if that tells you anything. With that said, we start things off with a discussion of the institution of snow days, marks who want to drive in bad weather to go to work rather than stay home, and the infamous night we all jogged to a bar through the snow and one of our friends got racially profiled by a cop. Then, it's 3 more classic topics, featuring a ridiculous rich failson from the 1600s who attempted various dastardly schemes for no apparent reason, a pioneering black astronomer and clockmaker who perfectly called Thomas Jefferson out on his crap, then an old-timey baseball player who raced a horse then fell into a slump so bad it got him banned from the sport. Plus, a rare serious discussion on the futility of those who offer only rhetorical support rather than genuine solidarity to those who fight against injustice and how to view our actions in the context of history.

The boys are back in town! (Thin Lizzy- 1976) After a brief hiatus, the show is back with its full lineup. Clearly we have some pent up energy, because we start things off by talking about Arthur for like 20 minutes. Then, another trio of wild topics from American history: Jack tells us about the tiny, fun Cuban man who made the best of a trainwreck marathon during the 1904 St. Louis Olympics, Cody tells us the infamous story of the time Senator Preston Brooks beat his colleague with a cane on the Senate floor for not liking slavery enough, and Alex tells us about a grade-A freak, the eccentric and almost impossibly lucky businessman Lord Timothy Dexter. Pure insanity from start to finish; what more could you ask for?

This week it's our first two man version of Here's a Guy. Jack is sick this week, and we're not just talking about his skateboarding prowess! Only a joke. Cody and Alex kick things off by discussing a variety of topics, including our listener suggestions for podcast resolutions, the Indianapolis Colts, the "fartrepreneur" Stephanie Matto, Robert Durst, Bob Saget, Betty White, and the Aristocrats joke. Then we have a two-pack of tales of complete shitheads, from the world's most infamous Bigfoot hunter to a woman who fell victim to the most sadistic shock jock radio promotion of all time.

1:25:24- Jennifer Strange
It's 2022, and we start the new year off the best way we know how: by dwelling on the past. Specifically, we bring you 3 fascinating tales from American history. But first, the guys discuss the Capitol Riots and the time Mr. Belvedere sat on his own balls, read another listener email, share their New Year's resolutions, and ask for help coming up with their podcast resolutions. Then they get to the good stuff: Cody talks about a Civil War general who sucked at everything, Alex talks about the man who tried to assassinate FDR but failed because he was too short, and Jack talks about the most badass dentist of all time. More exciting than Ken Burns, but is it as intelligent or informative? We're pretty sure we know the answer but we'll let you decide.
27:10- James Ledlie
49:34- Giuseppe Zangara
1:18:45- Ben Salomon
It's the final show of 2021! Thank goodness. Surely the podcast, and the world in general, will get significantly better next year. Right? We kick 2021's nasty ass to the curb with an XL episode wherein the guys start things off by discussing a variety of topics, including R. Kelly, John Madden, Aaron West & the Roaring Twenties, Christmas gifts, and Cody and Alex's grandma. Then we do what we always do: talk about some guys. Jack discusses a fantastic human being with a very unfortunate wrestling career, Alex tells us the forgotten story of a trailblazing gay baseball player who invented a ubiquitous celebration, and Cody brings us home with the mysterious tale of the Rockefeller who may or may not have been eaten by the indigenous tribes of Papua New Guinea.
Titus O'Neil- 31:19
Glenn Burke- 1:11:18
Michael Rockefeller- 1:48:18
It's Episode 12, and the very smart and pleasant hosts of Here's a Guy are here to provide some holiday cheer! How, you ask? By sharing several a tale of penis, a tale of violence, and a tale of penis violence. It may be our best episode yet! The fellas get things started by sharing their weirdest Christmas gifts ever, and we finally read the long-awaited email from friend of the show Mason. Alex then tells us about a 19th century American politician whose rising star was put out because he was a violent lunatic, Cody details the life challenges of the man with the world's largest penis, then Jack takes us back to 19th century America for the story of a man who got so high on paint fumes he believed he was the King of England and had a run-in with the president.
Also: we have theme music now!!! Thanks to friend of the pod David for hooking us up.
Robert Potter- 19:39
Jonah Falcon- 55:00
Richard Lawrence- 1:16:22
Our regular crew is back for Episode 11! First, in the interest of not doing the same goddamn thing every week, we start it off by introducing a new segment called "Am I the Grinch?" wherein we decide whether or not incidents while driving and at Target make Alex the Grinch. Next, Jack returns to the lineup with a vengeance as he tells the story of the 9th century Pope who was subject of the most unfortunate trial of all time. Alex then shares the many football and twitter exploits of former Florida Gators safety Will Hill, and Cody finishes us off with the incredible tale of the badass who battled the elements, sharks, and some old-fashioned racism to survive 133 days at sea.

It's with a heavy heart we announce we've reached double digit episodes. It is also with a heavy heart we announce that JackJohn could not join us, as he nurses an ouchie back. The good news: that means we're finally joined by our beloved friend Mitch the Peach! It's a fun one, as the fellas rehash the Malort discussions, Cody shares the story of a Polish soldier with a legendary and disturbing appetite, Mitch regales us with tales of the Chicago Mothman, and Alex tells us about an Imperial Japanese military official and right-wing kook who was such a killjoy that it actually became interesting.
Charles Domery- 20:54
Chicago Mothman- 48:36
Kanji Ishiwara- 1:10:48
We return from our holiday hiatus with a special episode for all of our happy, happy listeners! We have our very first guest host on the show, and better yet, it's part of a crossover event with our friends at Belch Cast! That's right, friend of the pod Pookie has finally joined us! It's an XL special episode that kicks off with more friendship lore, then a wild 4-pack of topics, featuring a surprisingly successful religious fraud, an average joe who bowled his first perfect game at perhaps the worst possible time, a much-maligned director of heinous video game movies, and a big boi strongman who tempted fate and paid for it when he tried to be a tough in the ring with the most powerful Japense pro wrestler of all time. And check out Belch Cast on Spotify, because there is more crossover fun to come!
