This week's episode is all about FUN. If you aren't here for it, I don't know what to tell you because we are having a fucking blast over here.
Take a walk with us down Toni's Hinge profile lane and bask in it's glory as we begin a brand new segment: "What's going down in Toni's DM's?"
What else to expect from this technically "solo" ep:

I appreciate my partner for walking into couples therapy hesitant but open, holding my hand the entire way both literally and figuratively.
I appreciate that he values his individual growth as much as our joint relationship's. And that to us, these things are separate.
I appreciate that my partner and I figure out how to balance the private and public aspects of our relationship, checking in with each other the entire way.
I appreciate that it's impossible for us to remain stagnant, and that we both put in the effort it takes to grow.
I appreciate that when our couples therapist told my partner he "should leave me", he told her why she was wrong.
I appreciate him for loving me with patience, understanding, curiosity and honor.
I appreciate that we don't need each other, we want each other.
I appreciate that when asked what my partner finds sexy about me, he says it's the way I support him.
All of this comes up in this pod, and I truly believe it's quite a thing to witness. Even though I am one half of our relationship, as I listened back to this episode, I couldn't help but see us with a clear, fresh set of eyes.
We are the same us we have always been, yet we have stretched ourselves and turned toward each other as the time has ticked and the leaves have fallen.
There is no one I feel more at home around than G, because shining under the light of this love I have finally felt safe enough to come home to myself.

Merry Christmas Eve lovers!
This week I activate full-on Grinch mode as I roll into the latest "Things that Bug" segment. The timing is kind of weird but hey?
As always, here's a succinct lil' list of what you can expect to hear:

This week I interview Sierra, a sweet and genuine soul. Though we have ran in the same circles for years, we are now taking our friendship to the next level and I'm STOKED about it!
Tune in to a hilarious convo about:
Sierra is also incredibly open and vulnerable with us about losing her house in a wildfire in 2017. It was a true honor to hear her story. She and her family's resilience are unparalleled, and I am in awe of the positive outlook she consistently radiates.

My Mom joins the pod this week and it's fabulous. I love her SO much, and without her I would not be who I am today :)
The first burning question I ask is what it's like to be the creator of yours truly! As I'm sure you can imagine, it was no easy feat.
She highlights what it was like to attend high school in the 80's and grow up with a tough older brother who taught her some savvy tricks :) She also shares lessons learned from first loves, as well as how to maintain longterm relationships - both romantic and not.
All this and more is just one click away....hit PLAY!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
This is my 3rd "Get to Know Me" segment episode, and my oh my, I am so glad we started doing this. You really delivered with the Q's, and I like to think I didn't disappoint either :)
From my first kiss to my first sex to what I see each day when I look in the mirror, I deliver a whole new batch of information about moi. For some it may be too much, but for the #HEIT listeners, I have a feeling it's JUST enough.

It's always fun when I have family on the pod, and this week it's my Aunt Rana's (Auntie Boombaz) turn! Her voice may sound familiar, as she is 1/2 of the X&Z Podcast - my first guests of Season 2.
Thank you Boombaz for being so real and raw this week, it was an honor to sit with your story.
She starts off by sharing how she was severely bullied in high school, leading her to ultimately confront not only her bullies but also herself. Throughout this process she found the voice she so fearlessly uses today.
We also jump into:
-Intergenerational trauma
-Her moving to South America
-Messaging around therapy/getting outside help
-Why mental illness is not a trend
-First memories of #babytiff
-Finding herself in her 40's
Though all important, one of the most valuable things we talk about is how my aunt developed very real OCD and Agoraphobia in her 20's, and how it has impacted her relationships.
Here are the links to the articles she's published (mentioned in the ep):

Tune in this week for a story that needed to be told. Tea that needed to be spilt. Cards that needed to be dealt. A song that needed to be sung. A book that needed to be read...You get it?
At the beginning of 2021 I worked for an interior design company (that I am calling Pop Rocks) in an effort to stretch myself into a new comfort zone and potentially, even, into a new career. What ensued was an actual nightmare. By the end of this pod, I put it all to rest once and for all.
In the second half of the ep, my better half joins us and shares all the deets on the time he got food poisoning during his Bar Mitzvah, yet gallantly pulled through to perform at his own party with his band, "This Side Up".

I met Stephanie in grad school in 2016. She shares what it was like joining an all-white program at USF and how it shaped her work as a clinician. She also touches on the history of cultural perspective in relation to overall access to mental health.
She also enjoys traveling and talks about what it was like going to Greece and Iceland COMPLETELY SOLO. We explore her experience with divorce and finding love again with her best friend.
