  • Trip to the ER - S1E48
In Episode 48 of the “High Regard Show,” “Trip to the ER,” we discuss the horrors — and ensuing comedy — that came with Nikki's recent trip to a New York City ER in the dead of night. (Don't worry, it wasn't because she had a summer cold!)
Plus, we talk about a country mouse's first trip to Harlem and what we'll be watching (and re-watching) now that Nikki is laid up and won't be trying to force Tom into leaving his beloved couch cushion.

  • Secrets & Liars - S1E47
In Episode 47 of the “High Regard Show,” “Secrets & Liars," we talk to Lana Schwartz, co-creator of new web series "Secrets & Lies" about the inspiration behind the show, working with friend and co-creator Ilana Michelle Rubin and misconceptions about Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
We then talk about our TV guilty pleasures, which characters our moms resemble most and the important role rape plays in recruiting professional athletes. Who knew the qualities today's coaches were looking for till now? Nikki also tells an amusing anecdote about jumping in place as a work out since she doesn't know how to work a jump rope.
If that wasn't enough you can hear about this week's "Ya Heard" subject's entire life story, from her fashion choices to her family matters because Nikki said it was so relevant to the quote — even though it was entirely made up in her mind.

  • Sex Tape - S1E46
In Episode 46 of the “High Regard Show,” “Sex Tape," we talk to comedian Pat Brown about her brand-new comedy album, "Sex Tape," family and the most cliche thing she has seen from gentrification in Harlem. Believe me, it is not going to be what you think. We also enter Week 3 of Tom's coldmageddon. Will it never end? Let's hope not for Nikki's sake, she LOVES his sickly updates!
There is also a very enlightening "Did You Know" about the comedy world and a rather revealing "Ya Heard." How can a street named St. Nicholas Avenue be the birth place of so many messed-up quotes?

  • ManVsSnake - S1E45
In Episode 45 of the “High Regard Show,” “Man vs. Snake," we chat with Andrew Seklir and Tim Kinzy, the filmmakers behind the documentary "Man vs Snake: The Long and Twisted Tale of Nibbler," which thankfully for Nikki's ophidiophobia has to do with the arcade game "Nibbler" and not a real s-word.
The film tells the story of Tim McVey (notice it's spelled different than the OKC bomber), who with one quarter became the first person to score more than 1 billion points on an arcade game as he played more than 44 hours straight. Fast-forward 25 years to when he needs to decide whether to defend his record — which garnered him a day named after himself — or become a footnote in competitive gaming history.
We also learn which games Tom and Nikki fancy themselves record-breakers on and oh so much more!

  • MILP - S1E44
In Episode 44 of the “High Regard Show,” “M.I.L.P.," we speak to Carrie McCrossen about her UCB show, "M.I.L.P. (Moms I'd Like to Portray)," a very funny sketch show take on Hollywood's depiction of women and motherhood in which she plays 16 moms she'd very deftly be able to bring to the screen.
Speaking of women at the forefront, Nikki kinda takes the reins of this week's show as Tom bravely battles a summer cold. Will she finally get the last word of the episode? Find out at the end of the show!
And since no one came close to guessing the right number, we’re also giving our listeners one more chance to win a prize by answering the following question: How many times does our very own Tom Roarty appear in this video? Send your answer, along with your name and age, to [email protected], and you just may be a big winner of some HRS swag!

  • Black And White - S1E43
In Episode 43 of the “High Regard Show,” “Black and White,” we cover a lot of topics — from the RNC and Scholastic's #MuggleMob to an awesome interview with Christian Finnegan and Sherrod Small of A&E’s very first original comedy series, “Black And White” before closing the show with Nikki's fear of sock puppets. I know it seems like a lot, but you at least get to listen to it with the option of sitting in an air-conditioned environment — we literally poured our sweat into this one!
We're also giving our listeners a chance to win a prize by answering the following question: How many times does our very own Tom Roarty appear in this video (https://www.facebook.com/highregardshow/posts/1140567586005450)? • Adult Coloring - S1E42
In Episode 42 of the “High Regard Show,” “Adult Coloring,” we talk to Brandy R. Sinclair, the creator of "Celtic Knots to Color," an adult coloring book to help you indulge in your creative side. Was anyone else confused as to what an "adult" coloring book was aside from Tom? No? OK, let's move along and talk about how Nikki would melt crayons in her hand because of her artistic intensity and the fact that Woody Allen is a hack. Seems a little all over the place? Give it a minute, it'll all make sense!
If a fad is going to come back, could it please be a weaponized sock full of quarters? We're getting closer!

  • Generation Snowflake - S1E41
In Episode 41 of the “High Regard Show,” “Generation Snowflake” (not to be confused with "Operation Snowflake"), we acknowledge last week's tragic events before ripping into the weakest group of Americans ever spawn! How did we go from a country that put children to work in coal mines to a raising a society whose majority has their heads in the sand? Kids are actually trying to dictate what colleges teach based on things that won't get them upset, thanks in part to a domino effect caused by parents who wanted their kids' lives to be better than what they went through.
Congrats (insert slow clap here) you did it ... You made life so easy on your children that they don't even want to hear about the struggles that got us to this place we are now. How are we supposed to stop this current slide into insanity if today's children are being bred to do as they please because they are the most important thing in the world? Maybe by showing 100 puppies playing in a field with a picnic basket, but we are a podcast, and our pictures don't translate well through sound, so this is the best we could do this week.
    Be safe America!

  • Spirit in the Sky - S1E40
In Episode 40 of the “High Regard Show,” “Spirit in the Sky,” we talk about a long-deserved vacation for your dedicated podcast duo in, of all places, Jamaica! Ah, the sand, the sun, the drinks, how lucky are we? Well, before you answer that, it is probably important to know that as part of our unbelievably priced vacation, we did take Spirit Airlines - which we learned is the dirt mall of the skies.
It is amazing that in a time when customer service is so monitored by social media that businesses like this get to actually stay in business! Spirit Airlines, you are the the formula for all that is wrong with this country, from the greed to the uninterested staff, I, for one, cannot wait for "Spirit" to turn into a ghost. That was Tom's though by the way, suck it spirit!
