My guest today is Nicole Snow. She's a United States Air Force veteran, entrepreneur angel investor, mom to a three year old, wife and the founder and CEO of Darn Good Yarn. Nicole founded her company in 2008 out of the desire to create a business focused on social consciousness, through crafting and design. Over the past 12 years, Darn Good Yarn has saved over 2 million pounds of manufacturing, remanent material from ending up in landfills or rivers instead upcycling it into handmade craft supplies and apparel while employing more than 300 global artisans. Darn good yarn has appeared for the last three years on the Inc. 5,000 list and was recently named New York's Capital Region Company to watch. Today, Nicole and I talk about saving textiles from the landfill and giving them a new life, sustainable crafting, empowering women through business, and so much more let's get started.
