This week Scott and Patrick discuss the book "The Times & Trials of Anne Hutchinson" By Michael P. Winship which recounts the so called "Antinomian Controversy" in early Massachusetts colonial history. The matter, while centered around an obscure piece of puritan theological doctrine, threatened the very existence of Massachusetts Bay Colony as it existed and the outcome shaped the social geography of New England forever.

Hey guys, sorry again for the programming interruption. Harold the rabbit went to heaven this week, I decided to take it easy. Enjoy this late era Cinemapocalypse episode which frankly is a precursor to the History Homos Program you enjoy. This episode was taped within 2 weeks of the original Pilot of HH (war of 1812). So forgive me for this lapse in content. The version of Scott you’ll find in this episode is not the one you’ll find today but you can see the strings of what will develop later.
Here’s the copy from the original episode:
Anonymous, hot, gay alien sex with Kim Jong Un. Is this movie funny or silly? Scott gets into a Wikipedia wormhole as we do a deeper-than-usual deep dive review of Stanley Kubrick's final film, "Eyes Wide Shut".
See ya next week. we got normal episodes coming then.

This week Scott and Patrick delve into the festering rabbit hole that is the 1999 Columbine High School Massacre. We recount the mainstream narrative while also highlighting various inconsistencies and peculiarities surrounding the case. The truth of the matter is shrouded in secrecy and decades of media mythologization.

This week we are joined by friend of the show Snobby Bobby to discuss at length the Korean film "Oldboy" (2003). SPOILER WARNING, this film not only explores themes of revenge and forgiveness, the nature of truth and more, it also contains one of the most shocking twists in cinematic history.
Check out Bobby's podcast "Not for Everyone" anywhere you find podcasts for more film discussion.

This week Scott and William discuss the 1916 Easter Uprising of Irish Nationalists against their British Imperial oppressors. A small, unpopular group led by poets and schoolteachers mobilized about 1200 fighting men to the streets of Dublin and held out for a week before being blasted and starved into surrender, however the execution of the leaders resulting in their martyrdom unified Irish opinion and ultimately led to their independence in 1922.

This week Scott, solo, discusses the religious movement known as Christian Science, founded by Mary Baker Eddy in Massachusetts in the late 19th century as American Protestantism found itself in an identity crisis. Incorporating concepts from her heritage as a Congregationalist and incorporating aspects of Transcendentalism, Gnosticism, Swedenborg and the burgeoning "Mind-Cure" movement, her "discovery" of Christian Science endures to this day.
