This is a 4 part series dedicated to dental toxicity and the dangers surrounding ingesting heavy toxic metals through the oral cavity. Dr. Char, who has spent nearly an entire career on the topic of educating other dentists on using biocompatible filling material versus amalgams (heavy metals), discusses his experiences on protecting his patients with engineer Adrian Chang.
Mr. Chang is a certified nuclear engineer who has worked for the U.S. Government on both military and civilian projects – many involving safeguarding personnel against ambient chemical toxins and radioactive emissions. He discusses with Dr. Char on how toxic metals, like cadmium and mercury, interact with each other in the mouth when exposed to saliva. He then discusses the curious phenomenon where the U.S. Military requires the use of specialized Hazmat/NBC/Biohazard teams to clean up a shattered mercury thermometer, yet still dentists worldwide continue to use mercury fillings in the mouths of their patients to this day.
Dr. Char also stresses the importance of using biocompatible materials, like resins and porcelains, as a safer alternative to heavy toxic fillings, and also how many Americans are exposed to heavy metals daily even without having amalgam fillings.

PART 1: Muscle and Health with Clyde Mealy. Clyde Mealy is a professional sports trainer and rehabilitation physical therapist who has worked as a personal trainer for private professionals in California, as well as serving as Master Trainer/Fitness Manager for 24 Hour Fitness in Hawaii. His many success stories include restoring full mobility to senior clients who could barely walk, and also transforming an out of shape individual into a fierce applicant to the United States Marine Corps’ Officer Candidate School (OCS).
Clyde talks with Dr. Char about the relationship between muscle and overall health – and why many of his older clients, suffering from chronic back pain and overly medicated with prescription drugs, are able to kick the drugs and avoid surgery by hitting the gym under the supervision of a skilled rehabilitation trainer. Dr. Char and Clyde go on to talk about the causes of back pain that so many suffer from, and an explanation of how common back pain is linked to the often-overlooked sciatica nerve.
PART 2: Pulsed Electromagnetic Frequency (PEMF) Therapy with Dr. Char. In Part 2, Dr. Char talks about the electromagnetic waves that surround us as inhabitants of planet earth, and how our artificial environment – artificial lighting, man-made construction materials, and overuse of electronics – are now causing a myriad of health issues in modern day life. He then talks about the mechanism of PEMF – Pulsed Electromagnetic Frequency Therapy – that can help the body receive frequencies that it is missing from exposure to natural environments.

In part two of the show, Dr. Char talks about the “17 Daggers of Heart Attacks.” He first brings up a chilling study of how 1 out of 4 Americans have heart attack symptoms and other cardiovascular related issues, yet don’t know it. He later discusses the realities behind the most common published risk factors, like smoking, obesity, diabetes, alcohol, and cholesterol, and dispels the most common myths behind how well related these factors are to heart attacks and sudden death syndrome.

Join Dr. Char as he speaks with body detoxification expert Dr. Swaraj Kaur, head practitioner and founder of Dr. Kaur’s Wellness Solutions.
One of the main points of Dr. Kaur’s practice is that of helping people recover from ailments using unique applications of popular detoxification therapies, such as body wraps. She discusses common misconceptions related to the use of body wraps as well as how her approach can lead to wholly more positive results for patients. She also discusses the internal chemistry of our bodies and talks about how and why so many people – Americans included – are falling ill more and more frequently due to toxic buildup.
Dr. Char also brings up the question of how often detoxing should be done and when detoxing is “too much.” Two two practitioners also talk about the link between toxicity and common ailments such as obesity, depression, blood sugar issues, and more – even analyzing a recent case study of Dr. Kaur’s where she treated a college student who had to drop out of school due to the effects of body toxicity.
Lastly, on the topic of toxicity from our foods, Dr. Char shares his pain as he relates his experiences going on a “grain only” fad diet in South America: and the unamusing digestive and toxicity challenges that followed.

Part 1: Singing Your Way to Wellness (feat. Bobby Ing) – Tune in for Dr. John Char’s holistic health show for a fun and informative discussion on the health benefits of singing! With guest Bobby Ing, lead singer of the barbershop quartet “RESONANCE”, Dr. Char shares his experiences with singing in men’s choruses, and the health benefits enjoyed as a result. With his typical casual and charming air, Dr. Char will set about sharing information on how singing encourages proper breathing, posture, and smiling, and what positive effects these can have on your health. Among other things, he discusses how singing can increase your energy level, raise your mood, and even improve your immune system.
Dr. Char and Bobby discuss the little known fact that as you hit different pitches while singing, different cells within your body will resonate in kind, stimulating a healthy physiological state. Along with interesting and new information on the expected and unexpected physical benefits of singing with a barbershop quartet, they also discuss the social and mental benefits.
As a particularly wonderful addition to the show, you’ll also get to hear performances by Max Q, and Dr. Char’s own Sounds of Aloha men’s group. Both of these performances are fantastic; while Max Q’s performance is brief, it leaves your soul warmed for more of their melodic soulful sound. Part 2: Toxic Water: Is What You’re Drinking a Deadly Poison? In this episode of the Holistic Wellness Show, Dr. Char goes over a topic that is quickly becoming a health related, worldwide crisis: a shortage of clean water due to environmental toxicity. Using the rapidly deteriorating situation in Hawaii – known for its pristine beaches and clean water – as an example, Dr. Char holds nothing back as he examines some of the foulest water situations on the island of Oahu.
Later in the show, he will also educate you on the most common types of environmental contaminants leaching into the fresh water supplies of the United States and beyond, and why we should be seriously concerned about the elevating levels of toxins in our drinking water. Contamination topics include oil spills, plastic garbage, industrial and shipping related toxic chemical waste, and commonly use agricultural pesticides.
Dr. Char ends the show by asking what we can do about this situation – before it’s too late, and clean drinking water becomes a thing of the past.

Join Dr. Char plus two special guests, the “Water Wahine,” for this two part episode. During the first half of the show, Dr. Char and guests discuss the structure of water and how, if properly prepared, can have medicinal-like effects on the human body. Conversely, the trio goes on to explain why it’s important to understand the pH balance of the water you drink, and how deleterious health effects can materialize if your drinking water is too acidic or too alkaline. Further topics discussed include the pros and cons of different kinds of water, such as mineral water, carbonated water, municipal tap water, bottled water, and even ozone water. Part two of the show focuses further on the theme of “water as medicine,” with examples of how the opposite effect (water as poison) is observable throughout the United States. The discussion touches upon increasing childhood diabetes and obesity due to soda pop consumption, increasing chronic sports injuries among high school athletes, and the misconceptions behind the benefits of popular sports drinks, like Gatorade.
