This episode of Homicide Inc. takes us South of the border into the Mexican state of Guerrero. This region is a hotbed for drug cartel business dealings and the horrific true crime case we're going to unpack is a really nasty one. It turns out it was a case of mistaken identity when a group of students boarded buses that were secretly being used by a cartel to shuttle heroin into the United Statres.  It was 2014 when dozens of college students vanished after being violently attacked and apprehended by a hit squad of corrupt military and police forces. Corruption in Mexico is nothing new, but the level of cover-up and terror we’re about to discover takes it to a horrifying new level. Enjoy!★

Chisako Kakehi, is Japan’s very own Black Widow. She was driven by greed and a lack of moral fiber, amassing a fortune of nearly 9 million dollars in inheritance and insurance payouts from her many boyfriends and husbands that she met through online dating sites. She was a prolific killer in a country that has one of the world's lowest homicide rates, which made  her killing spree a shocking and particularly momentous scandal in Japan. In her golden years, she repeatedly met, dated and married elderly men, including her four confirmed victims. It came at a time when elderly people in Japan have become more and more interested in finding partners amid a rapidly aging population and the spread of nuclear families in the country. At around 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve 2019, 25-year-old hairdresser Kevin Bacon, (same name, different KB) headed out to meet a guy he'd just met hours earlier on the gay dating and hook-up app Grindr. The plan was to meet Mark Latunski at a Dollar store near Bacon’s home and then take Mark's car back to his place. It was supposed to be a quick hookup. Meet the guy, have sex, return home. That was what Kevin Bacon told his roommate and best friend Michelle. He never returned.
