This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast, we have finally reached the end of September and that means John Carpenter month can be put to rest. We think we saved some of his best work for last, with Patrick's picks. This week we dive into the world of ghost and revenge with The Fog (1980) and then head to Outpost 31 to talk about The Thing (1982).

Because we love you all so much! Here is a bonus episode of the Horror Junkies interviewing Leo Scherman about his movie Trench 11.
Trench 11 is a film that is based around the final days of WWI. An allied army unit is led by a shell-shocked soldier to investigate a mysterious abandoned German facility located deep underground. What they find is fate worse than death.
We really enjoyed this film and you can tell that the director really pulls inspiration from John Carpenter's The Thing. This movie is available on VOD, so make sure to pick it up and get ready to find it hard to breathe.
Recently the Horror Junkies got together, ordered some extra cheese pizza and watched Slice by Austin Vesely. Starring such awesome actors such as Paul Scheer, Chance the Rapper, Chris Parnell, and Zazie Beetz. Slice is set in a small spooky town, when a slew of pizza delivery boys are slain on the job, two daring survivors set out to catch the culprits behind the cryptic crime spree. The movie was released by A24 and can be watched on multiple VOD platforms, so get some friends together, order some Perfect Pizza, and relax.
Here on the Horror Junkies Podcast, we had the awesome expericence to interview Comedian Paul Scheer, who plays Jack, the owner of Perfect Pizza. You may know him from his podcasts How Did This Get Made or from other Horror movies like Hell Baby, Piranha 3D and Piranha 3DD. So get those ear holes ready, the lights down low, and get weird.
This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast continues its dive into the month long journey into the mad world of John Carpenter. Mike was the third person to draw the short severed finger, so he gets week 3. This week's picks are Body Bags and Vampires, two very bizarre films from the crazy mind of Carpenter.

This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast we decided that since everyone is heading back to school, it only seems right to do a show with movies themed around schools. The first film we watched this week is the 1998 release titled The Faculty. A pretty bizarre movie revolving around a group of teens who suspect their teachers are aliens. The second movie is a classic werewolf film that many horror fans love, Ginger Snaps, released in 2001.
On our new segment on the show we watch the trailer for the upcoming remake of Dario Argento's 1977 classic Suspiria by Luca Guadagnino and all of us agree this movie is going to be amazing. If you haven't checked out the newest trailer, do yourself a favor.

This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast, we have a bonus episode for all of our listeners. We got the chance to sit down and interview Director Kevin Sluder about his new horror short Heartless.
Heartless is based on Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart" and deals with an overlooked associate who struggles to complete a corporate presentation as a horrific secret gnaws at her conscience. And we have to say shit gets crazy fast.
This short only has about a 12 minute run time and when we say it makes you question everything, it really makes you question the events taking place until the very end. Kevin did an excellent job of capturing the weird essence that Stacy Synder brings to life during the short.
Make sure to head over to www.heartlessmovie.com to learn more about the movie, screening locations, stills, and other awesome content that this director has worked on.

This week on the Horror Junkies Podcast we start unraveling the mystery surrounding Hulu's newest hit show Castle Rocks, staring Bill Skarasgard, Sissy Spacek, and Andre Holland. For the sake of the show and your mind we decided to only go over the events from episodes 1 through 5 and once the season is finished we will tackle the rest. ATTENTION! This will be a super spoiler filled episode and really get into some crazy theories about certain characters, so if you have not seen the show, please take the time to watch it and come back.
On our new segment on the show we watch the trailer for an upcoming Netflix original from the same director who brought us Green Room. Jeremy Saulnier is back with Hold the Dark, a film that revolves around the deaths of three children suspected to be by wolves. The trailer looks absolutely bat shit and we can't wait for its to be release on September 28th. The next trailer we watch on the show is Slice directed by Austin Vesely. In this movie, a small spooky town, has a problem with a bunch of pizza delivery boys are being slain on the job. Two daring survivors set out to catch the culprits behind the cryptic crime spree. All we can say is this looks like an revamped Ghostbusters, but done better and we can't wait.
