'Hotel Rwanda' hero sentenced to 25 years on terror charges

In tonight's edition: The hero of the film "Hotel Rwanda", who was credited with saving more than 1,200 lives during the 1994 genocide in Rwanda, is sentenced to 25 years in prison on terror charges. Paul Rusesabagina's supporters say the conviction is politically motivated, while Brussels and Washington raise concerns about the fairness of the trial. Meanwhile in France, President Emmanuel Macron has asked for forgiveness for abandoning Algerian soldiers who fought for France during Algeria’s 1954-1962 war of independence.
